Vehicle Detail
Beautiful 1992 Mazda Miata has been mechanically restored along with a refreshed interior. Runs and drives beautifully. The good:The engine has all new seals and gaskets as well as a new timing belt and water pump which I have the receipts for. The engine was also given a coolant reroute which is vitally important for these engines and is a very expensive upgrade. An aftermarket aluminum radiator was also installed to ensure proper cooling. The AC system has a brand new AC condenser, dryer and lines. With an AC compressor from an NB miata so it is set up for r134.The engine was also given new plugs and wires fresh oil and new coolant. The suspension was redone with brand new oem shock absorbers which still have warranty left and mated to the stock NA springs with NB top hats from a 2000 Miata. Along with FatCat Motorsports bump stops the suspension has an extra 1.5" of travel and provides about an inch lower ride height. Tires have about 90% life left on them as well. The interior has been extensively gone through as well. The factory gauge cluster lighting has been replaced with dimmable LED lights and the HVAC controls have had the faded faces replaced with oem replicas. The stereo is a Sony DSX-S310BTX a 300 dollar head unit along with new Sony speakers. The worn out factory steering wheel was replaced with a suede 3 spoke MOMO. The top door pads and crash pad have been reupholstered with flocking suede and the door panels have been remade with plastic and covered with new black vinyl. The door handles have been replaced with Porsche rs style door pulls and stainless steel hardware. The shift knob is a weighted voodoo knob and the ebrake handle is a machined delrin unit in black. The cup holder is a stainless steel laser cut piece from zoom engineering. The Seats are black cloth from an NB Miata and the torn soft top was replaced with a brand new one.The bad:The car has some cosmetic issues. The clear coat is peeling up in some areas and the front of the car has many rock chips. The front driver’s side fender has a dent in it that causes a gap between the hood and the fender, and some very minor door dings. Also it appears someone tried to install a second antenna at some point and left another small antenna nub behind the original. AC also needs an accessory belt and a charge. This a chance to buy an appreciating classic that can be registered and insured as a classic but is perfectly reliable and has had every bit of maintenance done to ensure years of trouble free motoring.A video of the car starting and a walk around can be aees here : https://youtu.be/8USJqWWhHqA
