Selling my 2003 VW Golf TDI. 1.9 diesel 5 speed manual trans. Has 248,000 miles and ran well prior to bottoming out on bad road and putting a hole in the aluminum oil pan. Had car towed to shop... new oil pan was installed, and engine runs fine, but the turbo has failed, so will need to be towed. ($600 for a new German brand turbo/manifold here on ebay) Has a few minor issues but nothing that affects driving. Couple oil drips here and there...maybe adding total of half quart between changes, glove box door is held closed by tape, center console lid doesn't latch, and rear hatch only opens from inside at this time. I was using this as my daily driver for the past 5 years, and has been a great reliable car. It has dings, dents, scratches, and some rust at bottom of front fenders. Been in a couple fender benders....literally, but nothing was replaced or fixed. Both front fenders have dents, as well as drivers side rear quarter. These were light hits (two were parking lot hits) Underside is solid. Suspension is also solid and needs nothing. I recently had new lower control arm bushings installed, with an alignment. Timing belt service (Timing belt, water pump ect) was done at 228,000 miles. Second timing belt I've had done since I owned it. Other new parts within the past three years are...All four brakes, including rotors and calipers, shocks, struts, glow plugs, glow plug harness, EGR valve, new windshield, both front door window regulators, receiver hitch/wiring, and ac condenser. Always used OEM German parts on most of repairs and maintenance items. Rotella 5W40 synthetic oil changes were done at 5,000 mile intervals, and fuel filter changed every 10,000 miles. I was averaging 48 mpg with this, but have gotten as much as 53 on long highway trips. Car is located in Apalachin, NY and must be picked up here.
