-ABOUT- This is a 2004 Ford Excursion Limited 4x4 with the 6.0L Power Stroke Turbo Charged Diesel Motor. In terms of size, this Excursion is the king of the big sport utilities; it's definitely no minivan! With its' 3/4 ton chassis, this is the most heavy duty SUV to enter mass production. Whether you have a lot of cargo to carry, a bunch of people to transport, a big trailer to pull or all of the above, the Excursion is ready for whatever you throw its' way. With its Hydraulic Rail Direct Pilot Injection and four valves per cylinder, the 6.0L Power Stroke V8 Turbocharged Diesel provides 325 hp at just 3300 rpm and 560 lb ft of torque, the latter at just 2000 rpm. Towing, more than anything, is what the Excursion is designed to do. With the 5R110 TorqShift five-speed automatic transmission, it offers a Tow-Haul mode which, when activated, automatically minimizes shifts and maximizes available torque. This can help increase a drivers feeling of control when towing large loads up and down steep grades. And the the 4WD trailer tow group package, you can enjoy the benefits of manually telescoping trailer mirrors with heated glass, integrated turn signals and clearance lights; plus a rear anti-roll bar. Properly equipped, it can tow trailers up to 11,000 pounds. That's more than enough to pull a hefty boat. It also inclused a Class IV receiver hitch which was designed to prevent smaller cars from going underneath the rear bumper, while a specially manufactured BlockerBeam is designed to accomplish the same goal up front. The Excursion comes with a nicely designed interior with acres of space. The dash is attractive and well designed- all of the controls are easy to find and operate. It doesn't matter whether you're sitting in the front seats, second row or third row, all of the seats offer generous legroom, headroom and elbow room while also being extremely comfortable. Six adults can ride in comfort with 48 cubic feet of cargo space left behind them. And with this Excursions Limited trim package, you can add to the interior list a premium stereo, heated seats, memory seats and pedals, climate and audio controls on the steering wheel and premium leather seating surfaces. Ford's beast of a sport-utility vehicle is a stable platform for towing heavy trailers and can at the same time carry a truckload of fisherman. It rides fairly well for a heavy-duty truck and it's luxurious and comfortable. For those who want to tow trailers up to 11,000 pounds, the Excursion is a good alternative to a pickup. -DETAILS- This Excursion has a new starter, all new glow plugs, leveling kit, new injector orings, aftermarket exhaust, new IPR and ICP sensor, and is EGR deleted. It also has fresh new batteries and an oil change. It's a solid runner and drives perfectly, clean title, low miles and only 3 owners. -TERMS OF SALE- The buyer will submit a $1000 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of the close of the agreement to secure the vehicle.
