1969 MUSTANG FASTBACK MACH 1 - TRUE RED AND RED This is a beautifully restored example of of a 1969 Mustang Fastback Mach 1 in remarkablecondition. It runs great, looks great, and the attention it gets is extreme! NO DISAPPOINTMENTS: This car is a great investment and a fun car to drive and enjoy. From the engine compartment to the trunk and everywhere in between, this is a clean, solid, tight and straight car. Please keep in mind that this is a classic car that is 50 years old, and although I will describe everything as best I can, some small items may have been overlooked. BODY: As you can see from the photos, this Mustang has an absolute gorgeous body. It's also rock solid with no evidence of rust ANYWHERE! The underside is also solid, with strong rails, perfect torque boxes and floor pans. The rear quarter panels have lower patch panels installed. All of the panels on this car are show great fit and very straight. This car was professionally restored. The Mach 1 was repainted the original Candy Apple Red and was cut and buffed to a mirror gloss.The Front and Rear spoilers and the Lovers on the Rear window were added for the " clean and aggressive " look. The underside is in excellent condition, and I could not detect any rust at all. The trunk and doors all open and shut properly, The front and rear glass has been replace. All other glass is good. There is one very small " dime" ding in the driver's front fender. There is also very micro chips in the paint on the edges of the doors. The paint is now what I consider to be an extremely nice " Weekend Warrior". This car is not a show car, but will still hold it's own at the local car shows and cruise in. INTERIOR: The interior was professionally restored at the time of the restoration with the original Mach 1 Dark Red Knitted Vinyl with all new soft trim including: New Dash Pad New Door Panels New Carpeting New Kick Panels New TMI Seat Covers New Headliner. The interior still shows very well. All of the gauges and interior lights are functional. The clock was working until last year. ENGINE / MECHANICS: The engine is a powerful and fast 351 Widsor ( now sporting a Holly double-pumper ). The car has electronic ignition and starts at the flick of the key and runs strong and smooth. This car has a deeppowerful throaty sound that matches the appearance. The car tracks straight, has good steering response and nice ride. The FMX Automatic transmission is new and shifts responsive and smooth. The engine compartment is very clean, and detailed and maintains its original appearance. Front power disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The power steering makes this car very enjoyable to DRIVE! The gas tank, steering box, transmission, radiator, water pump, exhaust system, and steering bushings, plug wires, battery, and tires have been replaced. All lights function as they should. There is nothing left to do!!! TRUNK: The trunk area is very clean, detailed and looks like new. The pictures of the car speak for themselves. You will have to purchase a spare tire and rim. OVERALL: I have owned this car for the past 12 years. The car was delivered to UTAH and stayed there until I purchased it in 2006. I am very particular about my cars and gave this car my upmost attention. Itstarts, runs, sounds and drives like a dream. I am 69 years old and was able to live the dream of owning the car of my dreams. When I was 19 years old I gassed up a 1969 Mach 1 while working in a gas station and never forgot my first impressions. I truly believe it to be the best Mustang ever produced.
