Up for auction is a very nice 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback with the factory Ram Air option. Car is equipped with a very strong 351 Cleveland with a fresh rebuild, ported and polished heads, Edlebrock Torker intake, Demon carb, solid lift cam, MSD billet distributor and ignition, dual electric fans, C4 transmission with a fresh rebuild, manual valve body, 5000 stall converter, 28 spline 9" Ford Posi rearend, 4.30 gears, etc. Odometer displays 75,000 miles. Car was last setup for street/strip use and has a lot of power. It was last owned by a Mechanic Shop Owner from the Texas panhandle. He built it for his son to take to the track and race along side him and his car. Only has about 3-4 passes on rebuilt motor and transmission. Car ran 11.7 at 119 mph 1/4 mile on street tires at the Texas Motorplex. The son never took to racing and the car sat for the last 9 years. The shop owner keep the maintenance up and decided to sell it once he retired and closed the shop. Car runs and drives great. Car sounds amazing but is by no means a daily driver. Great for a weekend play car or cruiser. If I were to keep it, I would consider even maybe detuning the motor with a more streetable cam. Interior is all there and in good condition. No rips, tears or stains. Car has had a new paint job at some point. Exterior is not perfect and has a few blemishes such as paint chips. But overall, the car is very solid and is a real head turner. Have a clean Texas title that is in my name. A Marti Report (VIN decoder) was purchased and is included.
