So I bought a near mint 2004 Porsche C4S with super low (37,XXX) miles on it and a few months later lost the engine to the dreaded IMS failure. Unfortunately there's no great story either. I was sitting at a red light and all of a sudden it sounded like someone threw a handful of change into the engine. I turned it off immediately and had it towed to the Porsche Dealer in Charleston, SC. I was given an outrageous estimate for them to fix it, and politely declined. I know there are DIY guys out there and more inexpensive ways to fix this car through either rebuilt engines or used engines, but I honestly don't have the time or money to do either. I also know this woulld make a great project vehicle to resell, and feel what I'm asking is in line with what the car is worth, minus the one major issue. Other known issues: None. This car is cherry. It was purchased last August with 37,XXX miles from RAC Performance in Dallas, TX. I paid cash, and then drove it home. I've taken it on two 500ish mile road trips with absolutely no issues. Everything works on the car as it should. It has never been in an accident, and the interior is as close to mint as you can find. This car has always been garaged, and the paint is also pretty amazing for a 2004 - just some minor touch-ups/rock chips here and there. The only modification to the car - ever - was a 1" lower coil set. Everything else is bone stock. It is a highly sought after 6 speed manual, and is an absolute blast to drive. I paid $37,000 for this car six months ago, and it is one of the nicest I've seen. Perfect triple black color combo, etc... This is the one, if you have the time or inclination to do an engine fix or swap. The title is free and clear, and again, there is absolutely nothing else wrong with the car. It also comes with a heavy-duty Porsche car cover. PLEASE - if you decide to send me an offer, have funds or financing already available. I've never sold a vehicle on eBay before, but see as a sign of good faith, typically, a non-refundable $500 deposit is required at the time of sale. I will require you send this deposit via Paypal immediately when you click on the "buy it now" tab, or I accept your offer. I don't want to sell this truck, and I certainly don't want to have to sell it more than once - so please be sure about your purchase before sending an offer. Complete payment is required within 7 days of the auctions end. This can be done via Paypal, Bank Transfer, or cash in person at the time of sale - no checks unless they are sent ahead of time and have a chance to clear BEFORE you pick up the vehicle. The Marine Corps stickers on the rear glass will be removed before pickup if you'd like, and the mileage will get slightly higher, as this is still me daily driver I would prefer local sales and pickup, but will assist with third party shipping arrangements.. If you want it shipped, it must be paid in full prior to pick up, and there will be no refunds, returns, etc. I have described this car, and its condition as accurately as possible, and stand by its description.
