This 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SLE is highly desirable, with only 8,250 of them ever made. This car would make either a great restoration candidate or can be used for the very hard-to-come-by parts. Highlights:No Engine (see engine compartment hood pictures)Body appears solid overall. Only surface rust is visible. Trunk almost appears new.Some visible rot on the underside, including small holes on rear floors.Interior wood trim looks to be in very good condition, for what's there.Tons of extra desirable exterior trim parts, which I've put in the car and trunk. Extra radiator and other misc, spare parts in the trunk.Automatic everything, this car was fully loaded.Includes rare Thermo King air conditioning add-on unit in the dash.Unsure of tire age, but they appear to be in good condition, with good tread.Replaced exhaust appears to be in great shape, from front split pipes to the rear tip -- see pics.Missing exhaust hangers, it's supported by straps.Mileage says 16737. True mileage unknown.I came into possession of this car FULL of junk. I emptied it but didn't clean it. As seen in the pics, the interior isn't in bad shape, could just use a really good cleaning. Forced to choose something for title, but there is NO title. I bought this through a bill of sale only, which is how the previous owner purchased, and is how I am selling it.
