Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a very nice Ford F-150 XLT Super Crew Pickup Truck. I purchased the truck a little over a month ago from a coworker that bought the truck new in December 2002. He didn't want to mess with trying to sell it, so I bought it. The truck was mostly used for highway trips. The truck has 156,000 miles (which amounts to 10,400 miles a year). The trucks runs great and everything (power windows, power locks, lights, CD stereo, and accessories) works as expected. The truck was recently detailed, new wipers installed and the tires were replaced not that many miles ago. The truck has a clean and clear TX title in my name. The truck does have some expected wear, but much of it is what one would anticipate on a 15 year old pickup. Exterior: The truck shows way better than it's age and mileage. It does have 4 rock chips in the windshield that have been there for years and haven't spread. There are a few very minor dings and scrapes on the body and rear bumper. Most are visible in the photos listed. There is fading of the grill and the headlights are due for a polish to get them looking new. Interior: The interior is in very nice condition as the photos attest. However, some of the color on the lower dash has flaked off. This is very common in these trucks. There is sun damage to the the top of the passenger and driver's side front door panels, which is also very common. The top portion of the steering wheel is worm and the tan color has come off. Again, very common in these trucks. The little door in the overhead console opens randomly. I think the tab that hold it in place is worn. There are a couple splits in the driver side front seat that are very clearly shown in the images. Mechanical: If I was keeping the truck, I would give it a brake job. It stops just fine, however you'll be able to tell the brake rotors need to be turned or replaced. That's a fairly simple job on these trucks. The truck shifts good, turns good and rides exceptionally well. I would love to keep this truck because it is so nice. However, I have too many cars/trucks as it is and I don't want it sitting around going to waste. My hope is that someone will give it a good home and use it as intended. I have been very clear with my description and images to convey exactly what you're purchasing. If you have any questions or need more images, please let me know before you place your bid. I want the new owner to be happy with their purchase and I'm being 100% up front about the condition of the truck, as I've observed it. The truck is fully insured and will remain insured until the truck is picked up by the new buyer or the buyer's transport company of choice. The truck is for sale locally and I reserve the option to end the auction early. A $500 DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION END. THE REMAINING BALANCE MUST BE PAID WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION END. THE TRUCK MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 14 DAYS OF AUCTION END. I WILL NOT ARRANGE SHIPPING OR TRANSPORT OF THE TRUCK. Thanks for looking and good luck!
