Vehicle Detail

1935 Buick Series 40 Coupe with a rumble seat. Straight 8 with a 3 speed manual trans. Vehicle was restored in the mid-80's and is showing some signs of age even though it still shows well. It gets a lot of attention anywhere we go. When is the last time you saw one. Runs, drives, and stops very nicely. You can cruise smoothly at 55 MPH with no problem--it will go faster than that. We bought the car about 13 years ago and have enjoyed it a lot. The car was used in the filming of the movie Public Enemies which was filmed here in Wisconsin and Illinois. We have other cars and want to travel so it's time for this one to go to a new home. Car is sold as is with no warranty. I have done my best to describe the condition of the car. Please call Rich at 262-758-0956 for more information before bidding. Feel free to schedule an inspection. I can send pics of any specific areas you may want to see better. Buyer is responsible for any shipping arrangements. Vehicle is listed on other sites so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. On Mar-16-18 at 18:38:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional note on this vehicle that I missed when I wrote the original listing. This in not an original rumble seat car. That was added when the restoration was done by a previous owner. Sorry for the error. On Mar-17-18 at 04:42:03 PDT, seller added the following information: I had someone local look at the car late yesterday. When we took it for a test drive, I noticed that the speedometer needle sticks at times--I never noticed that last year--may be just the cold weather. Also the vent window on the passenger door does not open with the hand crank. It feels like the teeth are stripped on the crank handle. More on the rumble seat--the lip around the rear portion of the rumble seat opening was not finished correctly so that area does leak when it gets wet. I always just keep a towel in there to absorb any moisture.
