2001 Pontiac Trans Am SOM Here is a chance to own one of the most rare colors that Pontiac ever produced for the 4th generations F Body Trans Ams. It is original Sunset Orange Metallic in color. It was repainted about a year ago professionally and looks absolutely beautiful. Exterior is between a 8&9 out of a 10. Interior is around a 6 out of 10. I had all intentions of making this car absolutely immaculate but because of personal reasons I am forced to sell at this time. I do have new carpet in the box to replace the carpet inside. I also have a set of door panels that will go with the car as well. The odometer reads 77,000 miles but the motor only has around 3000 miles on it. The car cranks every time on the 2nd Turn of the key. I have not raced the car but I didn intend to do so. This car was built to have a Twin Turbo Set Up and the motor could easily withstand 1200 Plus horsepower without any problems with the best parts money can buy for forged internals. The motor has only 3000 miles on it since it was built. I pulled the nitrous kit off the car because I had planned on putting a Twin Turbo Kit on the Car. The nitrous kit was never used. The car drives extremely well and the motor is very strong. The steering column does seem to be loose but I talked to my mechanic and he said it can be replace from either another 4th gen trans Am or Camaro for around $100 Plus labor. I’m sure there is stuff I’m forgetting but this is the biggest part of the car. If your looking to make the interior of this car beautiful inside then it would cost about $1000 for a interior shop to redo the seats and install the carpet and door panels that I have. Or you could just throw some slip on seat covers as well. The seats are very comfortable and it’s only the drivers side that really needs to be fixed.
