Up for auction is my 1979 Trans Am. I bought the car as a project, but I was quickly taught that my restoration skills were lacking. The car runs and drives. Equipped for A/C but the components were removed before it came to me. The car was originally blue/blue, but somewhere along the way was painted black, and the interior parts have also been somewhat converted to black. I bought the car from WV, but I don't know where this car has spent the majority of it's life. The car has the WS6 style snowflake wheels, which are in great shape, they just need some fresh paint. The center caps are new, with the gold bird insert. The car has rust in the areas these cars are known for; the cowl, rockers, bottoms of fenders, quarters and doors. The last photo is the car today. The repair for the collision damage you see in the photos was started on- the nose of the car has been removed, but I still have it and it will go with the car. I also removed the front bumper bar, and have a new one including the parking lights that will also go with the car. The hood was removed for easy access to brake components but will be put back on, and the hood is not damaged. The brake booster, master cylinder, proportioning valve, and brake lines have just been replaced. The radiator has also just been professionally cleaned, tested, and restored. All gauges work except the tach. I believe it's just the wire coming off of the distributor. All lights work. The car does have great potential for someone who is good with auto repair, in particular the body & collision work that it needs, that I'm just not that experienced with. Buyer will be responsible for pickup or shipping, and there are no returns once sold. Car has no warranty and is being sold as-is. With some body repair and paint, this will be one sharp T/A!
