I’ve got a few too many cars and have to let some go or my HOA is going to start giving me fits. This is not the typical Series 2 Europa. It’s one of a few federal Type 54s with all the features, updates, and larger engine of the Type 65 but the low ride height and lower curved front fenders of the Type 46. These are the best looking series 2 cars but are hard to find. The car is strong mechanically with a downdraft Weber carbureter conversion and an exhaust header. The oil pressure is very good and the car doesn’t overheat. Acceleration is strong. The clutch is good and the car shifts well for a Europa. The tires are good Hankook and mounted on Cosmic wheels. The shocks are good and the car handles very well. There is no chassis damage. The interior is pretty nice for its age but the paint is not great. It was resprayed at some point in the original Lotus Yellow and looks good from a few feet but the car deserves a better finish. All the glass is good and everything seems to be in normal working order. It’s got a nice radio and electric antenna. These early Europas are getting pretty hard to find in any kind of decent condition and this one is way better than decent. The title is clean, clear and in hand. Bid early and often…these don’t come around every day. The Buy Now price is very reasonable for this car but the reserve is well below the Buy Now.
