I completed this build about a year ago to add to my collection of period correct and restored Triumphs. Final Six pictures above are other bikes of mine either at present or past. I believe there are no more beautiful and affordable machines then these early Triumphs.This particular machine was put together with an authentic 1951 Triumph rigid frame. These were only produced until 1952. The frame neck was professionally slightly raked (about 10 degrees). New front springer was acquired and installed for a truly stunning stance. The motor a 1956 TR6 650 cc and is completely polished - including cases, covers, etc as well as transmission. Full rebuild including flywheel sludge trap cleaning were performed. 9 bolt later model top end installed with Bonnie head, cams and pistons, Mikuni carbs and Lucas Competition magneto. Period Jardine slash cut pipes really set it off. Bates headlight, re-covered leather Bates seat, Ford fender and tail light, 21" front wheel with brake, 18" Harley rim laced to Triumph hub are a few more details. Rear Tire is new. Front is period Avon Speedmaster with good tread remaining. Chrome is excellent on wheels and front end and has some wear evident on pipes and oil tank. Frame blasted and fully painted gloss black PPG shows a few nicks and rubs here and there. With the Bobber scene booming, especially on the West coast and abroad and release of the modern Triumph bobbers, these period builds are demanding appreciating values. This bike has been displayed frequently and as expected gets a lot of attention.It is a one or two kick start only bike and really a great runner. Correct 4 speed transmission is smooth as butter.The bike has been displayed with several styles of bars installed. It currently has straight bars.I have too much invested in this build to list without a reserve - sorry. If you want a truly stunning piece of Americana, bar hopper show piece this bike is for you. I purchased it and re-built it as the road burner you see by replacing the front frame section, adding a modern 1" under spinger, seat, etc. It comes with a Reconstructed Ohio 1968 Title and matching assigned vin plate attached to the frame as specified by the inspection process in PA.
