Vehicle Detail
This is a solid truck I wouldn't hesitate to drive cross country. It has been my daily driver for the past 4 years. The only reason i'm selling the truck is due to a helicopter crash that I was in and I can no longer enjoy it like I did. The trucks cab has two layers of dynamat sound deadening. All the lights are LED including the dash lights. Really there are so many extras to mention I doubt I'll remember all of them. The HVAC blows hot and cold like it should. The truck has been updated with a multitude of different electrical components such as back up sensors, back up camera, 1500W inverter, multiple USB recharging ports as well as standard 12v plug in ports. I truly love this truck and it pains me to no end to have to sell it. If your looking for a brand new truck just pass on this one. This is a 1997.5, meaning that it has all the upgrades that AM General issued halfway through their product run in 97 to correct all the H1's deficiencies that were identified in the prior years. If your not aware of what i'm talking about please look it up, the differences are extensive so I wont waste your time listing them here. This truck has also been fitted with a Predator brush guard and roof rack roughly a $5,000 upgrade. Not to mention this truck is already wired for the trail with both a CB as well as a UHF/VHF radio. (You do need a license to operate the UHF/VHF). The CTIS works, and I just put new tire and ball joints on it about 3,000 miles ago. The tires run on aftermarket 17" rims allowing for commercial off the shelf tires vice the military bead locks that are astronomical in price. I also purchased and installed a military spare tire carrier that will raise and lower the spare to the ground. The list really just goes on and on with regards to the new or aftermarket parts on this truck. Like I said before though if your looking for a brand new truck, and want to nit pick everything ect ect please don't waste each others time. This truck is solid, I have followed every maintenance cycle required and taken very good care of this truck. Like I said I wouldn't hesitate to get in it and drive it cross country. I'll try to list the new/aftermarket items on this truck...1. Tires2. Ball Joints3. Spare Tire Carrier4. Brush Gaurd5. Roof Rack6. 1500 W inverter7. Radio8. Speakers9. Pusher fan 10. Hood Scoop11. LED Lights throughout12. Speaker LED Head lights13. Back up Sensors14. Front Collision Sensors15. Back Up camera16. LED truck bed lights17. CB radio18. UHF/VHF radio19. CB antenna20. UHF/VHF antenna21. Multi-Switch Pannel22. Multiple USB charging ports23. Digital Gauges / GPS unit I know i'm forgetting about stuff... But you get the idea I have spent thousands to make this my dream truck...... The cons of this truck... 1. The paint is nearly 20 yrs old and its chipped in some places and there are minor dings as you would expect. However, there is no major rust on this truck. It is solid.... It needs paint specifically on the aftermarket slant back. Apparently they did a horrible paint prep job and the paint is coming up in large flakes.2. Winch needs a new solenoid to run, I talked to Warn and I believe its $25 for the solenoid.3. Right passenger side window has a large crack in it. (Thanks CA) I took a small rock in the windshield on a dirt road
