This is a one-of-a-kind Honda CB77. It's a restored 1965 Superhawk, mildly customized in a cafe racer fashion. The motor is stock and runs great. The frame and the tank and appropriate other parts were stripped, smoothed, and powder coated Honda Racing Red. The fenders and side covers shot in two-stage Honda Silver. The wheels were laced up by Buchanan's with shouldered, polished alloy rims and stainless spokes. New period-correct tires were fitted. Almost zero wear. A set of reproduction Dunstall Decibel Silencers was fitted, as well as low European handlebar. A rare and unusual Honda factory roadracing seat was sourced, which really looks amazing and transforms this machine. Stunning from every angle. It's also very comfortable. Everything works, including the original lights, speedo, tach, etc. The starter motor is a bit noisy but fires it easily, and it's easy to kickstart as well. A couple of tiny dings in the left side chrome tank panel, hard to even see. It's a great riding machine, handles superbly and stops better than you'd imagine period drum brakes should. I suspect they've been arced and properly set up. Somebody spent a ton of money on this machine! I fell in love with it and purchased it like it is but I simply have too many bikes and it's "last in, first out" when thinning the herd. The California title is in my name and on non-op, no fees due. CB77 Super Hawks are skyrocketing in price now! A similar machine, not nearly as gorgeous, sold for $11,000 + commission ($12,100) at the Mecum's Classic MC Auction in Vegas last month! Look it up if you don't believe me! I was there! My reserve is waaay below this! The market is changing. The days of the British, American and Italian classic reigning are numbered. The Japanese classics are on the rise.
