Here's your chance to own a beautiful, classic Chevrolet convertible! This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible was originally a 307 2-speed powerglide but the original motor is gone. It is equipped with a 305 V8 with 2-barrel Rochester, believed the engine is derived from a 1978 Camaro, and is still in running condition. The engine starts just fine; however, it may hesitate and stall with cold start while driving, especially when light accelerating ….. but when the thermostat hits at 180 degree or upper hose gets hot, it runs just fine. It is repainted black (original paint was yellow). Very Solid Car. New black convertible top, New set of tires, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering. It has a manual convertible top with a glass rear window that is like new. Paint, top, interior work, and tires were all completed in 2009 by the last owner who bought it from a family owned since new. New Dash Tachometer and gauge conversion (manufactured by Shiftworks) is installed for the 1968 Chevelle. It doesn’t smoke, and the transmission shifts smoothly. Very clean overall but I would not call it a perfect show car, at least not to win trophy’s with. It’s more of an amateur driver style restoration. It does have a few chips here and there and maybe some every so slight paint imperfections. Clear California Title in my name.
