Vehicle Detail

Introduction Hello, my name is Matthew. I am selling my 1985 Cadillac Seville. I am listing this on eBay for one last time after dealing with 2 bidders who did not pay after the auction. I am listing this auction for 3 days. I have a buyer, a friend, who I am selling it to if this auction does not fire. Also, before continuing...if you have a eBay rating of less than 30 DO NOT bid on this auction. You WILL be removed. Also, I've been given information about the "Commemorative Edition" badges that are on this vehicle. I will go over what I know at the end of this description (please note: I am NOT listing this vehicle as a "Commemorative Edition" again...see below). As far as this vehicle is concerned, I will give an overall condition rating and notes on three primary areas of the vehicle: Mechanical, Exterior, and Interior. Let's start with mechanical. Mechanical Overall Condition: 8.25/10 Notes: 106119 original miles. Runs and starts on spot. If I wasn't moving, and didn't have my other vehicle, I would confidently drive this Cadillac as a "daily driver." Runs great, the only reason I'm pricing this car as I am, is because I HAVE to sell it before moving. New radiator. Brakes serviced and replaced last year. Transmission service was done appx. 3 months ago. Custom exhaust. Note: I had a performance exhaust put on the Caddy about 7 years ago. I forget brand name, but with the custom exhaust and chrome tips cost me about $2300. New, heavy duty battery installed about 4 months ago. Exterior Overall Condition: 6.75/10 Notes: This portion of the vehicle needs the most work. She still looks very pretty after a wash, but no doubt the exterior is the weakest of the three areas for this vehicle. New Vogue white wall tires were put on this vehicle about 6000 miles ago. Original Tru-Spoke brand wire rims. These are in fair condition, though the "caps" could use replacing and have some dings. The spokes themselves have some rust, but isn't noticeable unless closely inspected. Hood ornament has been replaced. Original is gold in color and available on eBay. However, I feel the chrome looks good as well as it better matches the chrome accents. Bumper filler needs to be replaced. Paint overall, especially with key damage, could be replaced. Windows are tinted to maximum allowed in the state of Oregon. Interior Overall Condition: 8/10 Notes: Full leather interior in good shape. Not perfect, but good. Headliner was replaced about 6 years ago and looks fresh and secured to the ceiling of the cabin. Sun visors need some work and they don't like staying in place. Vehicle has keyless entry installed, but the door locking mechanisms need to be replaced to allow this to be fully functional. They're just a little too stiff. I don't see this as taking major work, but as is...this is where the locks are. Slight show of wear on the car's interior, and there are some things that need secured/replaced. The drivers side door for example needs the control panel to be secured. The passenger side window is secured in the "UP" position. To be fully functional, the window regulator I believe needs to be replaced. The "Commemorative Edition" Badging So, this vehicle has two pieces of CE badging. It has a CE unique steering wheel center. It also has a CE badge on the trunk, followed by a "by Major" badge. This does NOT match up with the "official" CE's released by Cadillac in 1985. In addition, the official CE's had a two tone interior and EVERYTHING was gold. This vehicle has a lot of gold trim, but the ornament, which has been replaced is chrome. Thank you to the person (sorry I didn't catch your name or I'd give you credit) for letting me know about this. Now as to why this badging was added? I don't know. I didn't add it to the vehicle, and it's been on the Cadillac from before I first purchased it, over 10 years ago. My best guess, is that the original dealer added them in 1985 to a regularly fully loaded Seville, in order to try and cash in on the last model year of this body style. It says "by Major" so I think maybe the original dealer had "Major" somewhere in their name. If anyone has any insight as to this piece of history, I would greatly appreciate anything you could add. In any case, that's what I know. Conclusion Overall, it's a nice Cadillac and hope it can find a nice home. I have listed everything to the best of my knowledge, if you have any questions please let me know and I will try my best to answer them. Also, if you would like more pictures I can do that too. Thank you for looking and good luck. -Matt On Jan-29-18 at 03:45:39 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE: One of the interior photo's was from another one of my vehicle's (a Jeep Liberty) that I accidentally uploaded. eBay, for some weird and dumb reason, won't let me remove it.
