THIS JEEP CHEROKEE XJ IS VERY RARE. The way they were ordered and options do not exist in the Jeep market. I will describe it in great detail and you can also see the options listed on the original window sticker!An unbelievable opportunity to buy one of the last jeeps in the North Carolina State Highway Patrols Fleet of Jeeps that were recently retired! I know the northern states humans would love to get their hands on this rust free XJ. I have gone through this Jeep and replaced just about everything! It has 208k on it. But it was of Course State maintained every 5k miles. I have the fat folder of services to prove it. Fully stripped down and primed and adhesion promoter added. RAPTOR LINER. All trim pieces taken off (mirrors, grill, cowel, front and rear side window wipers, door handles)All windows and door locks operate as they should. Cruise Control works perfectly. Has heavy duty cooling and the sought after EXT idle button. Raises idle to run equipment. Certified calibrated speedometer from the factory. Has the best 4wd system ever with Traction Lock option. The jeep is stored in my garage and i can hold it for a reasonable amount of time until you can come get it or send a truck to pick it up. You can drive this Jeep anywhere. I can pick you up at RDU international airport. It is 10 minutes from my home. Also i replaced the aluminum insulated piece over the valve covers that was original. Only a $5 part but very important. Starter replaced late 2016 by the Highway Patrol. After a few calls came in i have the answers. You can absolutely drive this Jeep anywhere! A gentleman called from Minnesota asking if he could drive it home. Yes Sir!! Without hesitation! It actually rides better than stock with the bit of extra weight from the bumpers and the better shocks. NO Bouncing! You can use it everyday and then enjoy it camping and off roading on the weekends. Very easy to work on as well. You tube is the best for working on these XJ's! Essentially the 4WD system that is listed as an option is using all 4 wheels all the time then you can shift into low as well to crawl on the beach or the trails and mud. With the option to lock it in high as well. Thats one of the things that makes it very unique. Most Cherokees do not have this option. I built this to allow YOU to add your own lights and winch as well as Roof rack of your choice. Easily replaceable if it bothers you when you get it. Another few calls came in about the vinyl floor. It has some small screw holes in it due to removal of Patrol equipment as you can see in the photos in the rear floor hump. The jeep is extremely quiet inside due to the coating. The coating is extremely hard. Someone called and thought it was going to feel rubbery. It is definitely not that. Hard as steel really. Excellent for the trails or shopping carts depending on who buys it. Oil and gas due not affect it nor does it fade. Look it up on you tube as well. He is contemplating purchasing an original one with lower miles. He saw that those are around 12-13K on ebay. I assured him this is less than that and then he is going to have to update those original cherokees at another 5-6 k. This one is done. I have it on craigslist as well in Raleigh if you want to get an idea of the price. The reserve is set below that as advertised. But based on the attention that it is getting i may go higher if the auction ends. For Anyone who knows anything about these jeeps......When i stripped it to paint it with the Raptor Liner i took off the stock fender flares that you see in the photos and there are 2 mounting plates under each.....ALL of the bolts came off of the mounting plates without breaking a single mounting plate bolt. Another give away is that the rear shocks came off without breaking any bolts. There is NO rust on this Jeep. you will see when you come pick it up. This is not a 7-8 thousand dollar Jeep. If you want that go on Craigslist and find a wore out Jeep and fix it yourself and still spend more than that. Yet, it still will not be as qualified and optioned out as this one. Furthermore if you want a very low mileage Jeep that has been gone through like this one and even the next step you can look up davisautosports on here. They have outstanding Jeeps for sale. However they are going to be 16-20k or more.
