Vehicle Detail

1996 Chevrolet Camaro Z28/SS with 5152 actual miles. It is #989 out of just under 2000 produced and has to be one of the lowest mileage 1996 SS Camaro's left in existence. 1996 was the first year Chevrolet brought back the SS designation to the Camaro and was also the lowest production year which makes it the rarest and most collectable year for the SS Camaro. It was also the only year GM shipped the cars to SLP (Street Legal Performance Engineering) to have the cars modified, after 96' the cars were modified at GM plants. Car has been driven only select weekend days throughout the year when the weather is nice; mostly to car shows and Cruise-ins. It has never been driven on wet roads, never in the rain, and never in the snow. The car has spent it's entire life after purchase in 1996 inside a climate controlled garage. The car was ordered through GM in October of 1995, and delivered on March 15, 1996. I have all purchase paperwork, window sticker, SLP options sticker, owners manuals, and brochures. Everything is original on the car except the Battery and Air Conditioning Compressor. The Battery was replaced with an AC Delco and the air conditioning compressor was replaced (9/21/2017) with a Genuine GM part and carries with it a lifetime warranty. The coolant system was also flushed and filled by the dealership. I had the car inspected at that time by my local GM dealer and that is all they found that needed replacing, I wanted to make sure this car is perfect for it's new owner. This car has all SLP options installed for the SS that were available besides the extra set of rims with racing tires, and the car cover. I did buy and do have a car cover to go with the sale of the car. SLP options include: SS lightweight composite hood with functional cold air induction, Revised rear decklid spoiler, 17x9 ZR-1 style cast aluminum alloy wheels, 275/40 ZR 17 BF Goodrich Comp T/A tires, Larger front anti-sway bar and revised rear track, Synthetic engine oil, Interior Commemorative Cloisonné Console plaque listing production number, SS graphics, Optional Performance 2OTL (2 Out The Left) exhaust, Optional Torsen Torque sensing Limited Slip Differential W/AAM Aluminum cover, Optional Hurst performance shifter, Optional LEVEL II Bilstein sport suspension package, Optional Z28/SS Floor Mats. Car was ordered as a hard top to increase rigidity and everyone knows convertibles and T-tops leak over time, not to mention the convertible was limited in SLP options. Also cloth interior was chosen because the side bolsters of the leather seats in Camaro's just don't hold up well and wear fast. This Camaro is truly mint, inside and out, as well as the undercarriage. It still smells like brand new, I know it might be hard to believe with it being 22 years old, but it is true. If you didn't know Chevy's and you seen this car you would think it was brand new, its as close to it as can be. Please see pictures to view undercarriage and overall pristine condition of this car. It is a 10 out of 10 all the way around. This car needs absolutely nothing. I had 3 salesman, 2 service advisors, and a few mechanics drooling over this car in amazement when I had it gone over. The value of this car will only go up as it ages. Classic cars are becoming wise and sound investments, and this car is already very rare considering the low miles, and the fact that out the 2000 made, most have close to or over 100,000 miles and have been abused or junked. This car was 1 out of 179 produced in Ebony Black with hardtop in manual transmission, take into account the optional upgraded packages and cloth interior and it will bring the number down even further. Feel free to have the car inspected or come see it in person. I can also provide the number of the Chevy dealer I used and my Service advisors name. I am happy to provide any additional requested pictures upon request. Clean and clear title in hand. Buyer is responsible to arrange for shipping or is welcome to pick up in person. Cash or Cashiers check only. If Cashiers check, it must clear through bank before car is released. I will assist in shipping in anyway I can and am willing to deliver within a couple to few hundred miles for additional fee. I will not deal with anyone outside the United States. If you are from outside the U.S. and are interested, you will have to have someone from inside the continental U.S. act in your interest. Deposit is non-refundable. Car is sold as is with no warranty except on that of the air conditioning compressor which has a lifetime warranty through General Motors. This SS Camaro is the highest optioned and one of the lowest mileage collector quality if not concourse quality SS's on any website for sale while at the lowest cost. One can use eBay's marketing tool or Hagerty's valuation tool to see the this cars worth. I have had many offers, but I am only willing to sell at market price or just below. If the market value drops or if I one day decide to become involved with UNICEF, I will then and only then lower the price. If you are looking for a $13,000 SS, they are out there with auto trans, base suspension, 100+ thousand miles, and/or salvage titles. I welcome serious offers, but dreamers should look elsewhere.
