Vehicle Detail
2001 Ford Excursion Limited 7.3L V8 Turbo Diesel Hello All, I'm selling my parents 2001 Ford Excursion for them. Now that they are getting older, its become too much truck for them and are downsizing to a smaller SUV. After sitting in their driveway for the last few years, I have convinced them to sell it. I would hate to see this truck go to waste. I stop by, start it and let it run for about a half an hour every week or two. Love that sound and smell of a diesel truck, but I currently can't take it from them. It is a great truck! Its a Limited so you know its got all the options. Interior and exterior is and has always been kept clean. Some Of Its Options: Leather Limited Heated Seats Power Windows & Locks Push Button Rear Vent Windows Fold Down Middle Row Seating Removable Third Row Bench Dual Zone Control Heat & Air Conditioning Flip Down TV With VCR & RCA Plug In Ports Plug In Diesel Block Heater Deep Center Console Stock In Dash 6 CD Disk Changer Trailer Hitch Lighted Passenger Steps And More... Now... I hate to down talk this truck, but I want to be as honest as possible. So here goes. 1. The driver side door lock isn't working. I believe the tumbler to be damaged. 2. The FOB works but only unlocks the rear door. I believe that a relay needs to be replaced. 3. The tires need to be replaced. I can see cracks in the tires from it just sitting. 4. On 2 pictures you can see that there is a scrape above the driver side headlight and its missing a grill piece. There is also a scratch on the rear panel on the passenger side. All happened before we got it. I would have addressed these problems before listing it, but with so much going on right now, I just can't find the time. I hate to see this truck go but, its gotta be done. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Happy Bidding & Happy Holidays!!! PS: I have been getting a lot of questions about the Excursion. A reoccurring question is a pic of the underside of the vehicle. I swung by and took a few. Sorry my hand is a bit shaky. I managed to take two halfway decent ones. I have added them to the picture selection. As you can see from the pics there is surface rust on the frame and axle but the underside of the body has very little. The light gray sections are the actual body. This truck has never been off road but we do live in New Jersey and have to deal with snow and road salt. Thanks for all the inquiries.
