Vehicle Detail
This is a no reserve auction, whatever it goes for it goes for. What you see here is the quintessential working man's truck. First off it is a Toyota plain and simple, at the height of their mission for market share and reliability, their first effort into a V8 full size truck. Powered by the 2UZ-FE which is one of the most reliable toyota engines ever made and first DOHC V8 used in a full size truck. Second off it is not my truck, it is my neighbors. Yes that is right you have the opportunity to bid on and possibly win a vehicle previously owned by the one, the only, the look out ladies he hates to dine alone, my neighbor Don. I am a lucky person in general, whether it is a higher power, dead relatives watching over me, or sheer genetic worldly chance I always seem to be protected (of course now that I say that I'm sure a piano is going to fall on me tonight). I have lived in many different houses, and I've always been blessed to have halfway decent if not downright good neighbors. Where I live now I am able to say I have the best neighbor known to man. My dad wasn't a big part of my childhood, and sadly I have the best red male doberman puppy ever born but I can't be a big part of his childhood due to my job. Which I'm working on changing but in the meantime Don and his wife have been there for me, my fiance, and most importantly our puppy Copper Murphy. Don is not perfect, this truck is not perfect, but they are one in the same from the standpoint that they are just good men that give and give and ask for nothing in return. Except maybe some gasoline. Unfortunately so often the good people in this world do not get the lucky end of the stick, the bad ones like myself do (being a ginger I am inherintly an evil person). So for once let's make one good person's day a little better and hopefully help make your immediate future better by having a simple solid truck that can do truck things. Exterior: Exterior wise the truck looks great, paint is in overall great shape as are the body panels. It does have some miles on it and it has been used as a truck but it has been well taken care of. There are a couple tiny dings that take looking to find, there is some touch up paint over a few scratches on the bumper, there are some rock chips, but overall it is a great looking truck by any measure of the age and miles. Everything works, including the add-on back up camera! Interior: Interior is even better than the exterior, this is a limited edition truck so it has the factory leather that is in great shape. There is little to no damage to any part of the interior, the radio has been upgraded with a bluetooth backup camera deal to bring some of the more modern features in this truck. The rear suicide doors open up to make a wide open interior cabin easy to get in and out of, it looks great, it smells great, it is nice to sit in and drive. And it has had a living legend drive it! Mechanical: Mechanically it needs nothing, it has a matching set of Michelins and that is the first thing that tells you the truck was taken care of, you don't put Michelins on a vehicle you don't take care of. Everything works like it should, we visibly inspected the timing belt and water pump they have a bunch of life left in them fairly fresh. There is no serious rust anywhere, has been a southern truck most of its life. He did a tune up when he got it and that is all it has ever needed other than gasoline. No leaks, noises, smoke, issues, etc... Transmission shifts smooth no slips, no noises in the suspension, no problems with the brakes. I'll be the first to say right now Don is not a slow driver, he drives like a man should and the truck has never skipped a beat. The only reason Don is selling the truck is because he wants to be an even bigger badass and drive a 4-speed inline 6 old chevy dually farm truck, this truck is simply too interstate worthy and comfortable. Sometimes you just have to follow the heart and even though this is by any measure a very logical and sound decision sometimes you just need a little less common sense! If you want to have zero common sense when truck shopping, don't buy this truck! Thanks for looking, good luck bidding, if you have any questions please feel free to ask I will respond promptly!
