PLEASE NOTE THIS CAR IS NOT RUNNING BEFORE BIDDING THIS AUCTION IS FOR REFURBISHMENT NOT FOR PARTS I DO NOT WANT TO SELL THIS CAR FOR PARTS ONLY TO SOMEONE WHO LOVES THESE CARS AND WANTS TO WORK ON HER TO GET HER RUNNING! I'M NOT TRYING TO MAKE MONEY I'M TRYING TO FIND HER A GOOD HOME. I purchased this Suzuki Swift from a friend who had already put 130,000 miles on it by 2003. She drove it carefully but often to Mexico and back. Since having my car I have only put 40,000 miles on her because I don't drive very often. She is my first car and I don't want to sell her for scrap or to be taken apart. I want to sell her or give her to someone who will do her up and take care of her, because she's fast becoming collectable due to her size and good mileage and she's been a terrific car for me. I was going to donate her to the Veterans until I found out car-dealers just buy the cars for scrap. This car deserves more and I'll tell you why. In 2008 I had to live in Canada for a year, I towed her up there, and she literally saved my life during that year. She's such a good car because she was able to handle the snow and just about anything. I have looked after her well with regular mechanic visits all this time except this last year where she broke down three times, and my mechanic wasn't in town anymore so I couldn't afford to find someone to figure out what is wrong. So she is not running and hasn't for a year. However, prior to that she didn't ever break down, and I feel that no matter what is wrong with her, it's not the end of her road-worthy years and if someone is good at fixing up cars THIS is a great choice of a car, with only two owners (three titles due to my roommate having to put it in her name at first when I bought her because I didn't have a drivers license). All female. About three years ago her starter went bad, I had replaced it already ten years previously and I had a mechanic tell me to put in a starter button. They put one in so that's how she starts now - with the starter button. But then she broke down and didn't start up. I know nothing about mechanics but was told it was probably some connect with the starter. I purchased her clear and outright, she has all her paperwork and she's ready to find a home that can take care of her. I realize you could tell me you are going to do that and then turn around and sell her for scrap and all I can say is I hope you will be honest and not do that, because she deserves better. She's been my first most reliable and best car ever, I love her, if I could do her up, I would but I just can't afford it so I'm not looking to make money off this I just want to find someone who wants to take her on as a project and get her back on the road, even if you have to put a new engine in her, it's worth it. Her paintwork is really sun damaged because of where we live so she'll definitely need a new paint job. She has a working radio and her air-conditioner was fixed and works also. (When she's running). As she has a small engine it's not ice-cold. Her best feature is her size - and that she's a Suzuki Swift which is a model that really lasts you see them on the road all the time - and they're collectable - and lastly that she's got really good gas mileage, I'd say around 37 miles to the gallon. Plus I also ALWAYS used premium gas never standard. I put about $3500 in her over the years with things like changing out the ball bearings I don't know anything about cars but my mechanic would check her out and say she needs this or that, and I always did it. She did have some expensive things she needed, and I also changed her oil to high-mileage oil REGULARLY without fail. Some of that paperwork attesting to the work I have put into her will go with her as well as her title. Now on the negative side, a year of idle outside my house means her tires which were already a little threadbare on two, are now probably all going to need changing out. Some of her plastic trim on the outside has seen better days. She does have her age-issues like that. But she was absolutely okay otherwise and you aren't really losing out financially as you're building her up from scratch without having to invest a lot to do so. I was told she does not have rust on the underneath when she was winched up and looked inside. I do think some bees were in her engine at one point. Accidents: She was fender-bendered on the right-hand-side, it was very minor, the driver (me) couldn't feel the 'collision' but insurance didn't want to pay as she wasn't worth much so they gave me a payout which I think means she is classified as 'wrecked' although when I moved to Canada they said her title wasn't wrecked - so I'm just putting this for all information's sake. She wasn't bent in any way or damaged hardly at all so there is no structural disintegrity - she's not a lemon she's not a broken down wreck that has been patched loads of times she's been taken care of as best as I was able which lacked because I'm no mechanic. I want someone who IS good at fixing cars to be her new owner and I beg that this choice of putting her on Ebay Motors achieves that. If you have ANY questions don't hesitate to contact me.
