Vehicle Detail

*Re-listed with no reserve I am selling my 1996 Ford Mustang GT convertible with 148,000 miles on it. This car has been my baby since I got it my senior year of high school. It put me through prom, college, marriage, and my first job, but now my wife is pregnant and I have to buy something that works better with a baby seat. This car is a great daily driver, or weekend car, and there is no easier way to get an incredible driving experience than with an american V8 muscle car riding with the top down on a beautiful day, making just the right amount of noise. This car has been a weekend car for the last year or so, but I have changed all of the fluids including coolant, engine oil, brake fluid, and transmission fluid before selling to remedy this. The tires are brand new. There is a brand new battery. Fuel injectors were removed, cleaned and serviced, and spark plugs that were just done early as part of the 150,000 mi maintenance. The throttle body and idle air control valve were recently cleaned and gaskets replaced. The starter was replaced around 2 years ago, along with the alternator. Also, the clutch is less than 1,000 miles old. Everything works, including the A/C which was serviced by an A/C shop two years ago with new o-rings and a complete re-charge. Seriously, when I write it all down, I see how it adds up. I have severely overspent on repairs for this car that have easily totaled $5,000 in the last 5 years. I am a meticulous mechanic, and have done most of the work myself. For me, car maintenance is not about return value, it is about caring for your possessions. I am a mustang enthusiast, and I have maintained it as such. Everything on this car is original or "OEM", except for the intake manifold, which was done about three years ago with an upgraded part from American Muscle (the OEM plastic part would inevitably break again). The engine runs strong and always has. All of the electrics are working, including power seats, power windows, power removable top, heating, A/C, radio, and power mirrors. If you plan to restore it, it needs a new top soon. It is not leaking though, just cosmetic. Plus, the hydraulics are fine, I replaced the arms less than a year ago. There are also typical marks on the paint from being a daily driver. A compound and polish will remove almost all of these, and I have a bottle of Dr. ColorChip for the occasional rock chip. Along the lip of the passenger rear wheel well, there is a small amount of damage from a tire nail that would need to be filled and painted to get back to 100%. It is so minor, that i have never felt the need to repair it myself. That's everything. This car means a lot to me so feel free to ask any questions or ask for any more pictures and I will be happy to oblige.
