2001 Jaguar Vanden Plas XJ8 4.0L V8 For sale is a gorgeous Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas. The car has 107K miles currently. This car has been elderly owned for many years and driven sparingly. It drives wonderfully and has a super comfortable ride. The overall condition is well above average. The car was dealer maintained and garaged. The paint is in excellent condition with very minor surface wear from being driven and enjoyed (few very minor scuffs to front bumper). The interior is truly amazing. The rear seats do not even look as if anyone has ever sat back there. The wood trays are shiny and look beautiful. The leather is soft and supple and the original thick sheepskin mats are still in the car. The car comes with 2 sets of keys and remotes as well as the original books and literature. Mechanically the car is very sound. The A/C blows ice cold and all the electronics function as they should. The car passes strict California smog tests with ease. The transmission shifts firmly and had a trans flush about 10K miles ago. As with all these older Jags they tend to have issues due to poor design. This car will hard shift in first on occasion when it's cold out and has done so for over 45K miles but it is not often and the mechanic advised that the transmissions in all of these cars are temperamental. Fluids and oil were changed 3K miles ago. Cosmetically the car is super nice and the paint shows extremely well. The car was washed and waxed often. The body is super straight with virtually not a single door ding to be found. All 4 wheels are in mint condition with no curb rash at all. The 2 front fog lights need replacing as the glass broke in both along the way. The rear headliner sags a bit but does not bother us when driving. Other than that this is a fine example of an XJ8 Vanden Plas and will make the new owner very happy. This is not a desperation sale so we are not hard up to part with it. We set a very fair price for the car and this is a NO RESERVE auction. Highest bidder wins. The car is located in sunny Southern California. We will assist with shipping but it is the buyers responsibility to pay for those costs. We would like to sell this via wire transfer or cashier's check only. Cash is fine if picking the car up in person. This is a used vehicle so it is being sold as-is. We are honest sellers. The car is very nice and drives great. No hidden issues or BS back stories with this one.
