You are viewing a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette with a matching numbers 327 V8 and automatic transmission showing 49,721 miles. I have owned this Corvette for a couple years and during that time I've done some nice upgrades and improvements that I feel make a wonderful car to drive just about anywhere. In fact, I wouldn't be averse to driving the car out to you if you become its new owner and happen to live east of the Mississippi. Its just that dialed in and fun to drive. The motor was rebuilt two summers ago so that its fresh and pulls strong, maintains a nice temperature and great oil pressure. Note these two items in my video. I put new brake calipers on the front and added the American Racing wheels and BFG's too (I do still own the true knockoffs on Michelin X tires as well). The seats are freshly leathered and the am/fm stereo was refurbished to go with a new center dash speaker with some added output so it sounds really incredible. The fully functioning power antenna provides great reception. I took inspiration from the great GT cars of the '60's, so I focused on making this a great road-going Corvette that can be used on roadtrips as well as for shows and cruises, and I feel I've done just that.As you can see in the photos, the color combination on this Corvette is absolutely stunning. That beautiful dark blue paint (code 978) is the primary reason I purchased this particular Corvette, as you just don't find them that often, especially with an automatic transmission and numbers matching motor. I figured it would hold its value very well with these nice features, which include a teak steering wheel, sidepipes and the stereo and knockoffs previously mentioned. The paint appears to be a high quality lacquer that was applied decades ago, so it shines very nicely but it also has spiderwebbing/cracks that's pretty typical of old lacquer. I've included some photos of this for you to view. A prospective buyer asked me to check the status of the bonding strips on the inside of the fenders on all four corners and they all appear to be intact. I think there are actually two you can feel inside the front fenders, and they are there. You're welcome to check these in person of course. The undercarriage was sprayed with a generic black rubberized coating at some point relatively recently and its the one area I will work on improving if I end up keeping the car, but it doesn't diminish the performance or my enjoyment from this Corvette one bit as it sits. This Corvette is just great fun and brings smiles everywhere it goes.
