2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring Edition - 47,147 CarFax Documented Two Owner Miles New York State Residents Please Understand Your Restrictions When Bidding On This Vehicle. This 4 cylinder car runs and drives like new.The oil was just changed last month.This vehicle has new tires and brakes.The emissions part of the NY State inspection is fine - computer monitors are set - no check engine light.The safety inspection is also fine except for a "weepy" power steering rack.In NY State even a small power steering leak is grounds for rejection of the safety inspection.Power steering fluid is not pooling or dripping - I have not added power steering oil to the car since I have had it.The leak is not evident unless you go under the car for a look.Steering is find - no problem.I am not going to replace the rack (at a cost of $600 to $650) because of the age of the vehicle.Since an older person drove this vehicle, it has a couple of minor bumps and bruises - barely visible in the photos.Interior is excellent and everything works.Bid with confidence and drive it home.It's a genuine 47,000 mile car and the steering rack could last for years before any work is needed.This car is going to the highest bidder.No Reserve!No Buy It Now!Please Don't Ask!I can not give any guarantee or warranty.Because this car won't pass NY State inspection ...New York residents are unable to bid or buy unless they are a registered car dealer, registering/re-titling the vehicle out of state or are using it for “Parts Only”. When a car is sold as “Parts Only’ or “Salvage” it must pass a NY State “Salvage Inspection”. This is done to keep rebuilt wrecks that are unsafe off the road – especially vehicles with frame damage or airbag deployment. My cars are rarely rebuildable wrecks and therefore will easily pass this strict inspection process when the problem that is advertised is corrected. There are about 10 to 15 NY State salvage inspection sites in NY State – 2 or 3 are on Long Island and there are a couple in NY City. Call me for further clarification. As a registered NY State dealer I am unable to sell a car that won’t pass inspection to a NY State resident. Anyone else can bid and buy.
