Up for bids and sold to the highest bidder with no reserve is this 1973 Honda CB500k Four. Original Flake Sunrise Orange paint. The machine appears original with clear Ohio title, notarized and ready to go. Even includes the original tool kit and owners manual which goes under seat. Only 15k original miles. Starts right up with electric or kick start. New battery. Engine sounds good. Shifts through the gears fine with no unusual sounds. Overall the bike presents well from a distance for driver quality. It is original and has surface rust, scratches and wear associated with a 44 year old original machine that has been used. Some might call it patina. Would benefit from a detail cleaning. The seat is nice with no rips. The gas tank looks nice with very little fade and no dents or egregious damage.The inside is very usable with only very light surface rust. The side covers look good with nice emblems but right side is cracked although still usable. The machine still has the original exhaust. There is surface rust on all pipes. The upper right has a dent and lower right has small(repairable) hole near the weld. All of the gauges work. All of the lights work. Headlight on high low and tail light with brake light. The turn signals work but are slow to flash at times. The horn also works. The chrome cleaned up to driver quality with light pitting and has some chrome loss on edges. The machine does have surface rust throughout. It sat unused for a period of time. The tires hold air and I've ridden on them but they should probably be replaced. This machine should be considered a running riding light project that is original. I've spent a lot of time to describe what I know about the bike and its overall condition. It may have problems not known to me. It may need work in the future as is associated with a machine of this age. Please ask any questions.
