1959 Chevrolet Corvette. If you're seeking a numbers matching or highly original car stop reading now, this is not the '59 Corvette for you. This is a recent barn find Ex-Drag race car that starts/runs/drives/stops. Engine--Strong running 3970010 cast number 350 (not original) Transmission--4 speed aluminum case manual, shifts into all 4 gears & reverse(not original). Rear differential-- 12 bolt (not original). Body-- we believe the car was originally Frost Blue but has been refinished another shade of blue a long, time ago. Has chips/scratches/imperfections all over the car. Windows roll up & down easily. No convertible top behind seats. All door/trunk locks/keys functional. Bumpers & Chrome-- present with cosmetic imperfections such as scratches, some surface rust, left top fender molding has a screw holding it down. Frame & Chassis-- frame is very solid, surface rust but no rot or holes. Someone has removed parts of the X-frame to clear exhaust or headers. Brakes & steering-- has original drum brakes, the fronts should be gone through. Car stops OK but pulls to the left, does have some worn out bushings/components in front suspension. Wheels & Tires-- Not original, 15"old school aluminum mags, tires hold air no leaks. Electrical System-- All exterior lights functional, turn signals work, all dash lights work. Brake/tail/stop lamps all functional. Interior-- Cluster--all gauges work Temp/Oil pressure/amp/gas gauge works and is accurate. Tachometer & Speedometer work. Blower motor works off aux. non-original switch under dash, has good heat. Horn works, non-original momentary button under dash. Radio-- brand new Custom Auto Sound AM/FM and dual cone speaker, no alterations made to dash to fit radio or speaker. Interior-- Door panels are original but show wear, carpet is stained and shows wear, hard top is in good shape, headliner is in good shape, dash has some kinda white fluffy material see pictures. Looks like interior was turquoise, seats are decent but not perfect, New Parts & Repairs-- New battery cables/battery, fix/repair dash wiring, engine wiring harness. Oil changed with Zinc oil/new filter (canister style) new coolant, new points & condenser, new spark plugs, new fuel pickup/sending unit, new fuel line front to rear, new fuel pump, good used Edelbrock 4 bbl. carburetor, w/ electric choke. Starter motor rebuilt. 20 new lug nuts, dash clock was missing when I got the car got a cover panel from Corvette Central looks good. I have around $2500.00 in receipts just spent to get this car up & running. Car is overall in fair condition. It looks and does much more than other cars I have seen for sale on here. This would be a great driver with some suspension & brake work or the best candidate for a Resto-mod I have seen out there. I did make a valiant attempt to get the windshield wipers to work but internal paddle bypassing vacuum in motor. More information available feel free to give me a call 815-742-1411.
