UPDATE UPDATE*** The Metropolitan in the shop! Going to get it running. I will try and get a video, Email or message me for the link if your interested. 1959 Nash Metropolitan convertible. Model 561. I am re-listing again for those of you that continue to have an interest. A new muffler system was installed by a professional muffler shop and a new battery was also just purchased for the car. Because of the older gas in the tank, the line running to the gas tank was unhooked, starter fluid was sprayed into the carb, it started up and then died. This was done a few times and it sounded good while it was running. It's very possible the carburetor needs to be rebuilt. The master cylinder, clutch cylinder, and slave cylinder were replaced last year. Recently brake fluid was added and they pump up. The brakes may need to be bled. Remember the car has been sitting for over a year At some point the car was restored/ freshened up. The interior looks clean and newer, as well as the convertible top. The paint could be redone due to some imperfections, as you may be able to see in the photos. The cowl above the hood shows pitting and the hood seems to have some dents in it. The floors are firm and newer carpet and mats are in both front and rear areas. All the windows are good, however they could use some grease to make rolling up a bit smoother. Both rear tires are new and all wheels have original hubcaps. If you are interested and are able to inspect the car in person, let me know and I will make myself available.
