My 1981 GS 850 G. 7,375 miles. Incredible original condition. It is currently registered and insured in my name in CT. I found this bike with 2,300 miles on it when I bought it. Old guy kept in in his house for years. It looked like a museum piece but did not run because carbs needed cleaned. Tank was clean...no rust. No coating. The bike is all original and runs perfect to redline in every gear. IT is a beautiful and excellent example of the GS850G. When you look at the pictures you will see the condition. There is some reflection and glare In a few pictures. THere are NO dents, NO rust holes or cracks, no pinstripe missing, no chips. If you think you see it it in the pictures it is glare or reflection. The side plates and emblems are perfect. The side plates have NO missing pins or cracks or flaws. THere is ONE paint flaw...there was apparently a small chip or paint issue (location...if sitting on bike, left edge of tank closest to seat). I included a "close up" picture of that spot. It looks like it was touched up with original paint. It's a perfect match but could be polished smooth...you can't really notice it, so I never bothered trying to polish it smooth. I am a degreed engineer so I like to work on my bikes, clean carbs, tune the bike...I use a torque wrench and I use the original service manuals. I enjoy working on my bikes but have sold almost all of them. I didn't think I would ever part with this bike, but I am Vice President of a large multi-billion dollar company and I am so busy that I never ride, I never clean, I never work on my bikes now. So I am selling. I have adjusted everything, replaced plugs and plug caps, repaired the charge system (charges perfectly now), put new grips on, rebuilt, tuned and balanced carbs myself. It's an ART and I love to tune my bikes. It runs like new in every sense. If you buy this bike, you will LOVE it. Everyone I sold one of my collection too was happy beyond their expectations, and those bikes were nice, but not as nice as this...This was the best of my collection. I am happy to take other pictures, or even do a FaceTime as I walk around the bike and answer questions if you need to feel more comfortable that it is what I say it is. I DO travel a ton and will be on the road a lot, but will work with you as needed to satisfy you and coordinate with your shipper. SHipping is the BUYERs responsibility...payment is either cash, in person, or wire transfer directly to my Bank of America account. I will not release the bike to a shipper until full payment has been made and clears my account. Bike is in Avon, CT. IF you need me to hold the bike a while as you arrange shipment, that is no problem, as long as you have paid in full. I put some nice leather bags on the bike...I paid $250 for them, but will let them go with the bike. The tires are about 5 years old and are nice. I walkedj out to garage and fired it up quick and took a few dash pics. Starts at touch of button. Idles about 1100- 1200 rpm.
