I am selling my 1979 Chevrolet Monte Carlo year of the “G” Body. I guarantee you will not find a more mint 1979 out there. This year is extremely rare to find in this kind of condition. As you can see from the pictures this car is absolutely mint. I did a complete restoration on this car. I purchased the car from Canada in 2010 where there was no salt ever used on the roads. This car is rust free and solid. The only water this car has seen was when I washed it. The car was only driven in the summer months here in Minnesota and taken to a few car shows where I received four awards/trophies. One for “Best Year 1960 and Newer Chevrolet”, two for “Top 25” and one for “People’s Choice”. This car had always been stored in my garage and covered. The car comes with a custom Cover Craft car cover. Here’s what I have done to this car: PROS: EXTERIOR: -I had the car completely repainted and I chose the 2010 Ford Mustang Kona Blue Metallic paint…mint -All of the exterior chrome molding around the glass, headlights, taillights etc. have been replaced with brand new. Extremely shiny and mint -All Monte Carlo emblems and hood ornament are brand new…flawless & mint -New BF Goodrich Tires and Cragar SS rims. *Fronts: P215/70R14 *Rears: P255/60R15 to give the car a “Muscle” look…mint -New suspension all around (air shocks in rear) to adjust the lift to your liking -New brakes all around INTERIOR: -New interior carpet, headliner, rear carpet speaker deck…flawless…The seat upholstery is original and is also mint The dash, steering wheel, and instrument panel was completely redone…mint I installed a new Kenwood C.D. player with detachable face & remote, new front custom speakers on the kicker panels and rear deck speakers with all new wiring…sounds incredible…mint -After market gauges were added, tachometer on “A” post, oil, battery & oil pressure…mint -Custom floor mats with “Monte Carlo” embroidered on them…mint -New seat belts -New windshield and tinted side and rear windows UNDER THE HOOD - EVERYTHING IS NEW -New 350/260 HP GM Crate Motor added with less than 500 miles -New insulated Hood Blanket -New Edelbrock Carburetor and Intake Manifold -New Dual Electric Fans & Champion Radiator -New Red Plug Wires -New MSD Distributor -New Starter, chrome alternator, water pump, belts, etc. -New Battery -New Hooker Headers EXHAUST -Custom Dual Exhaust with connected H Pipe and Magna Flow Mufflers with chrome tips which gives this car a low mean throaty rumble TRANSMISSION: -New Turbo 700, 4 Speed Automatic with Overdrive REAR END GEARS: 3.90:1 POSI CONS: The car has no air conditioning for this year and both windows cranks need to be replaced.
