Vehicle Detail
If you are looking for a van that gets great fuel economy, is very dependable, can comfortably accommodate a family of four or more for long distances and can tow just about anything, this is what this van was customized to do. . When my daughter accepted a job in Jackson Hole, WY I had to find a vehicle that was capable of towing two horses, non-stop (38 hours), for over 2000 miles, while wife and other two children could travel comfortably. This is what this van was customized to be able to do. Part of the equation was to be sure that we did not have any mechanical issues along the way so I proactively replaced anything I could think of that could possibly delay us on our trip. The following is a partial list of new parts; starter, alternator, two batteries, radiator, water pump, electrical modules, hi and low pressure oil pumps, brakes, front air conditioning system including the compressor and new tires. I had a 4" exhaust installed with two mufflers, a resonator and pipes wrapped with heat tape to increase fuel economy and reduce heat and noise levels. I replaced the carpeting and sound insulated the doors, doghouse and floor boards. I reupholstered the interior and installed two leather recliners with extendable ottomans and installed a swivel for the front passenger seat. I had a custom rear bench/bed installed but have since removed it. The original rear seat-bolts and seat belts remain in place so that you can install any Ford van (1992 - 2014) rear bench seat. The mid seats are offset to the left just enough to be able to put a full sized dirt bike in the back. There is a block heater and I have a new set of snow chain and spare hubcap that will go with the van. The exterior paint is in excellent condition with only one small dent/scrape on one of the rear doors (see picture). The van is accident free except for a small fender bender while parked. The rear bumper and one rear door (see picture) had a small dent so I replaced the bumper with a heavy-duty step bumper and had the bent pulled out rather use bondo for the repair. I installed LED rear passenger lighting for reading while on the road and there is a full-time (soft) running light for visibility during night-time driving. I have receipts for items that I have proactively replaced, the van has been very well maintained. I would drive it anywhere, it needs nothing. We used it to travel cross country twice, took trips to national parks, to the beach and to occasionally tow our boat to the lake. The interior is laid out for four people but it can be converted for adventure touring or camping. There is plenty of room in the back for cargo or the installation of a rear platform bed. A couple of the rear, inside passenger window plastic trim rings are cracked or chipped. I have the material to repair them but have not gotten to it yet and it is a minor cosmetic issue. I have a table top installed behind the front seats which can be removed for additional room or it can be used to store additional luggage for traveling. It has a custom interior, upper rear storage, new running boards and is rust free. It has a tilt steering wheel, cruise control and a CD player. It is mechanically sound and in excellent condition. It is a non-smoker vehicle. Sold without warranty, with maintenance records. Bid with confidence, you will not be disappointed. This is a one of a kind vehicle that is in excellent overall condition.
