1983 Jeep CJ7 - Midnight Blue - This was a fun project that has been garage-kept since 2010 when I put tons of time and money into this jeep through 2011. This is my 4th jeep CJ7. I had a silver one from 18-20, a white one from age 22-24, a black one with a hard top from 25-26 - and then I had kids = no more jeep CJ7 - (said the wife). When kids got much older, I bought this blue one as my project. I doubt I'll ever get a green jeep though. I provide one picture of the kind of restoration this was - we took out everything. The Engine was rebuilt by a local machine shop, the standard 4-speed transmission was rebuilt by local transmission shop; there's a new carburetor Weber + Clifford intake combination installed by local mechanic; all tires in excellent condition; it has about a 2" lift; I did not want a top - it only has only a bikini top since I stored in in the garage all the time; these are new seats; new carpet; new paint in 2011. Nice Sony radio with a removable faceplate and with amplifier stored in the Metal Lock Box console. New exhaust and pipe all the way to the engine. Superwinch lockout hubs. I-6 Engine runs great. Refurbished radiator. 4-wheel drive unit works well. New steering box, so it drives straight now. The speedometer usually works but I've replaced the cable. This has been garage kept for the past 7 years and I only drive it about 500 miles each year in town and in the area country roads. This was a fun project. I'm happy to send more pictures if you wish. If you're thinking of restoring a jeep to have something to drive from time to time, then don't. Buy mine instead.
