Vehicle Detail

This is my third go-around restoring motorcycles; my other two projects were both Hodakas (Steen) and now I’ve decided to restore a Honda CT70 Mini Trail which is the motorcycle I had as a child. I originally restored this bike for my own collection, and spent over six years on this particular renovation. I’ve also spent close to $6000 on new parts, which doesn’t include labor (receipts available). I completed this bike about four years ago, and it’s been sitting in my living room ever since. Because it’s never had gas or oil in it, it doesn’t smell. It’s a great conversation piece and my friends literally drool over this bike. It’s in mint condition, is a one-of-a-kind restoration, and you couldn’t build it yourself for the cost of the parts for what I’ve listed it for sale. This bike would be perfect to put in an office or museum (in fact, going to a museum is the premise behind the restoration). I did all the aluminum polishing myself (many, many hours) and it’s professionally painted by a friend who is an amazing candy-paint painter. All the labor and assembly I did myself, which was no easy feat, believe me. The motor has a big-bore piston, and the following parts are completely new: crank, valves, guides, rocker arms, bearings, seals, shifting fork, screws & bolts, flywheel, points, condenser, stator, and all electronics (including wiring harness & ignition switch). Other new parts include: handle bars & cables, dimmer switch, handle bar grips, brake handles & cables, horn button, horn, headlight lens & bulb, taillight, taillight lens, bulb & bracket, all reflectors, shocks (the shocks have also been taken apart, and the springs chromed & shock housing painted to match the body), muffler, and muffler guards have also been chromed, tires & tubes, seat, speedometer cables, chain, and all brake parts. In addition to all the new parts, there is about $1000 in after-market beauty chroming on this bike. These parts have all been chromed, polished or painted to match the frame: brake backing plates (chromed), wheel hubs (painted to match the frame), air filter housing (chromed), all exposed muffler bolts (chromed), engine brush guard (new and chromed), fenders (new and chromed), wheels (new and all bolts are polished), forks (chromed), engine side covers (inside cases powder-coated & outside polished), intake manifold (polished), gear sprocket (powder-coated). The carburetor is completely rebuilt. The speedometer has been taken apart and new decals were put on. Everything on this bike has been chromed or polished and if I haven’t listed it, it’s simply because I forgot. If a part could come off and be polished or chromed, it was done so on this bike.No matter how hard I try or how many pictures I take, it's hard to get the sheer beauty of this bike to come across. Please note that there is no battery (not needed for display). This bike comes with a bill of sale. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs & charges. (I will assist in driving to local dock in Portland, Oregon, if necessary.)
