Up for auction is a 1970 Triumph Trophy 500 T100C (DD47985). The title is free and clear and the frame, engine, and title numbers all match. I bought this bike a few years back and was told that the bike was last ridden in 1974 and sat in a barn until I purchased it. On the original odometer it shows only 8,962 miles. The bike is nearly original down to the Dunlop rims except for the high bars and sissy bar along with a few other small items. The bike turns over and has good compression, but I have never tried to start it. The gas tank retains the original Jacaranda purple. Inside the gas tank it is pretty clean. The seat foam appears to be original to the bike as the foam has the relief cuts for the luggage strap. The engine cases are in good shape and it appears the main drive chain never snapped as there is no visible signs of case damage. This bike still has the original factory side stand lug which is pretty rare as many were broken off due to riders starting them on the side stand.
