Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE On Sep-12-17 at 08:42:43 PDT, seller added the following information: EXTRA NOTES AFTER TALKING WITH BUYERS: Soft top is Navy Blue and in good condition -- with one small tear at the pinch point of the frame (very common) that does not leak water. The top does not need to be replaced, as it is in good shape, with good color, and attaches to the windshield points very well. The locking mechanism for the soft top is in excellent shape and works well. The trunk is in excellent condition with no rust or defects of any kind. The spare tire is intact in the car as well. Trunk carpets are in fine shape as well. There is a small amount of paint oxidation on the 3rd brake light mounted to the trunk. How rare is this car? A retired Mercedes mechanic called me last week -- after I sent him pictures of the PERFECT dash area with no rips or tears and he said: "You have the the hardest to find car. For some reason, the blue interior leather always faded in the sunlight and cracked on these old SLs. Only 1 in a 100 of these MBZ 560 SLs (with blue leather interior) will have a perfect dash and that's a sure sign that it was garage kept its entire life."On Sep-15-17 at 06:02:29 PDT, seller added the following information: New Pictures added on the last day of auction: The trunk compartment is in perfect shape -- look at the spare tire area! No rust. No dirt. Never used. Carpets are in great shape. The underside picture of the SL says it all: no rust and great condition! For those collectors: yes, the VIN body tags are on the panels in this car. Picture included. Matching tags is a sign that this SL has never been in an accident or had bodywork. I added one more picture of the perfect dash -- this is impossible to find (see story above)! This one is 1 in 100 according to the professional Benz mechanic in California who explained to me that this is the RAREST SL you can find because the dash is in such perfect shape! Bid to win!
