+++++Relisting: I originally posted as 1971, but it is really 1973.+++++ Selling my 1973 SL125 with only 976 miles on it. I bought this bike 3 years ago. I have ridden it about 30 miles. Why so little? I live in Bangkok Thailand, and this bike is at my 93-year-old father's house in Severna Park, Maryland, and gets used too infrequently. I have 12 other bikes, and they need exercise. Clean Maryland title, in my name. I have had tags and insurance on the bike the entire time. It is a very clean bike. There are some small scratches on front fender from sitting in the previous owner's garage and my Dad’s garage. Tires are OK, but they are original and 46 years old, so they really need replacing. I replaced the side panels with some reproduction panels, as the originals seem to have reacted to the air and had cracks in them. The old ones come with the bike, as well. I bought a replacement carb, just because of my worrying over Ethanol gas in an old carb. Never got around to trying out new carb. "It is only original once" is what kept me from replacing the carb. I did re-time the engine, as there was some hesitation. It was about 4-5 degrees off, so I re-timed with a static timing light. Runs much better. Small hesitation at high RPM, could be carburettor as it does not see many miles (23 miles a year!) Check out the 11 minutes of video of me kick-starting from cold, running it around, walking around driving down the street to the dock and back, etc… sounds pretty good! Here is an 11-minute video of it (title on video says 1971, but it is a 1973 SL125): https://youtu.be/Y3Os_QwsMoc The bike is not perfect. But it is very nice. Comes with:- New carburettor (spare)- 6V charger- Mirror- Old side plates (original)- Owner’s manual- 2 extra new plugsHere is a link to a trip I just made in a 1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia, from Athens to Amsterdam.
