Vehicle Detail
Dependable and reliable, 1988 Jeep Comanche, a great basic work truck. (sorry about any confusion- listing as 1928. It is a 1988 Jeep Comanche, 2 wd, automatic.) Has removable racks (center/rear/ and front) for carrying long items (lumber, hang gliders, or ?).Has a in bed tool box, with bicycle fork attach points for carrying 2 bikes. recent engine work done by me, ( I am a mechanic by trade) to maintain reliability, (water pump, hoses, belts, ign harness/tuneup, tires and brakes). This engine runs perfectly, and uses no oil. Mileage is estimated at approx. 325K . (I am not home, to go look)(As with all my vehicles, I have religiously changed the oil every 3000 miles for the past approx. 30 years I've had it). Very comfortable seats and cab. Quiet ride. Economical gets 18-22 mpg city/hwy. Tailgate was damaged in a rear end collision years ago. Tailgate pivot mounts a little bent. No tailgate.small ding on top of hood right side, not noticeable unless pointed out.paint a bit faded, no rust, no other damage. Would repaint easily, with just sanding prep. Has an am/fm CD player, that the cd player may not work properly. The driver seat has worn original vinyl, but has a seat cover over it. Pass. seat is fine. I have the orig. pink slip, and clear title. But has been unregistered and parked at home for the last several years. (parked indoors). It will need to be registered and insured to be driven in CA. This is up to the buyer, and at his cost.I can arrange shipping to a buyer at his expense also. This is a great rust free "restoration" candidate. These trucks were the perfect size and power, back in the day when made by Jeep/Chrysler.Stopped making them in 1992. (was competing with their Chrysler Durango pickup). But this one has the better engine (6 cly, fuel inj.) , and trans.(Jeep used an 4 spd. automatic from Toyota Camry! ). I hate to sell it. Just have no room for it any more. And too many other projects. contact me with questions , mikerox2500 @ geemahle daght cahmmm .
