This particular car is in shows very well, having logged just 18,600 miles from its delivery date in December of 2008. The carbon fiber body panels are covered in Very Orange Metallic and has a beautiful luster under the sun. The majority of the body is covered in ClearBra for protection, which does show some age, as some corners are starting to peel. The only flaw in in the paint is a small scratch under the passenger side skirt, that can barely be seen in the photos. Interior. The rare black and Orange interior is also very clean, with only markings being on the door sills from entry and exit. Impressive carbon fiber trim covers the center console, which combined with the various information touch screens, gives the passengers a truly space age experience. Performance. Driving the 2008 Roadster is truly different. At a stand still, the exhaust drone we have grown to expect is absent. Acceleration is impressive from walking speeds, while the brakes are more than adequate. As one would expect of an automobile designed by Lotus, steering is tight and responsive and the driver feels at one with both the car and the road. The roadster has been maintained by Tesla Motors certified service stations with the last annual service being performed, in February of 2017,where the car was inspected, firmware was updated, Brake fluid, and coolant flush was performed. Full charge shows 178 Mile range. Tesla Motors' first production vehicle, the Tesla Roadster, was the first highway-capable all-electric vehicle in serial production for sale in the United States in the modern era.
