Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Up for auction here is a well maintained VW Passat GLS TDI (Diesel) Wagon (B5.5) with 139,XXX miles. For these Diesel Cars is low mileage. Its in great condition. I’m the 2nd owner. It was never a daily driver as we have 2 other cars we use for work that we split the mileage up with. It was just detailed inside and out. No kids or pets were ever in this car ! Most importantly the really expensive things that typically need to get repaired / upgraded on the car have been done ! The timing belt, water pump and balance shaft module (Upgraded to chain) was replaced at 90K. If you are in the market for one of these cars (VW B5 TDIs) be sure you ask if this has been done. Otherwise you will be facing a $3,000 repair bill. But don’t worry about this one because it has been carefully taken care of. It was just detailed inside and out ($300 value). I kind of don’t want to sell it now. But alas we need something a bit bigger. This certain combo of “Stonehenge Gray” (…I know VW Paint color name) and tan/beige leather interior is very attractive and hard to find. Carpet shampooed, Leather conditioned, paint waxed, everything. The car looks pretty close to new. The only thing stopping it from looking perfect is the front bumper has some of the paint chipped off on the center of it (see photo). Otherwise no dents or dings, paint is almost flawless, headlights are nice and clear/clean. The passenger seat has a tiny cut the with of a fingernail that has been there since I owned the car (see photo) Drives great. Shifts smoothly. Very Comfortable ride. Consistently gets mid 30’s MPG. Sunroof, 17” alloy wheels (2 have some curb rash-see photo), Newer Tires, 2 Key Fobs, leather steering wheel, front leather seats in excellent shape (rear leather seats look like brand new), wood grain dash and shifter, power steering, power windows, ABS braking, traction control (can be turned off with a push of a button if you wished to do so), power door locks with keyless entry, theft deterrent system, winter package (heated front seats, heated power mirrors and heated windshield sprayer nozzles) also included 4 snow tires (not pictured - $800 Value) in excellent condition mounted on steel wheels, 2 sets of floor mats (black VW custom Passat rubber ones great for rainy/snowy climates and regular carpeted ones that match the interior), Monsoon premium audio system with controls on steering wheel, Cruise control (also with controls on steering wheel), digital outside temperature gauge, 6 airbags (dual front, side and curtain) , AC that blows cold and strong , Heat also works perfect and of course the original owner’s manual is included. Recent Maintenance history: I can provide a more in depth listing. But just know all the regular maintenance to this car has been done. Fuel filter replaced recently. The front wheel alignment, all 4 wheels balanced was done about a year ago when the tires were replaced. Known issues: 1. Passenger Side CV Boot leaking. Mechanic said it would just need a repair kit (Under $175 repair…depending on your mechanic) 2. Rear drivers side door does not power lock. It has to be manually locked and unlocked. I believe this to be a simple door lock actuator that needs to be replaced. Once again a simple repair that Youtube has instructional videos on. And I believe the door lock actuator part is under $100. 3. Will need an oil change soon (in 300 Miles) 4. Brake Pad wear indicator light is on. I had a mechanic look at the brakes/pads and he said they are all good. He believes that one of the rear brake pad sensors has gone bad which is why the light is on. On Aug-08-17 at 19:34:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello, There have been a few questions regarding the amount of owners the vehicle has had. Some reports show 3 owners, some show 2. I was told by the previous owner that he was the original owner. I can search my records for some proof that supports the amount of owners. But I bought the car in 2013 at 109,200 miles (title verifies this). I have all the records for the car (even some from before I owned it). Thanks. On Aug-08-17 at 20:48:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello again, After looking at my records I realized I made a big mistake! I was going off my title for mileage/date of ownership. Which I changed when we moved from VA to MD 4 years ago. ( I thought that mileage looked high). I have the original Virginia State inspection document that states the IN Mileage at 69,4XX in July of 2010 when we originally bought the car. My copy of the Carfax from 2010 show 1 previous owner. So perhaps when I retitled it to MD it counted that as an additional owner. Sorry for the confusion. On Aug-11-17 at 05:31:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello, Forgot to mention. There is no plastic engine cover. I got tired of mechanics stripping the screw heads / losing screws then charging me for them so I just removed the cover. And I believe we accidentally threw the cover out in our move. I have seen them fairly cheap (Under $50) used on eBay if you really felt like you needed it.
