Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on my 2006 Honda Civic Si Sport Coupe- completely STOCK and unmodified. I have had this car since July of 2012 and am the second owner. This has been a really fun and sporty car for me especially since it has the 6-speed manual and VTECH but I'm selling due to an upcoming move and recent upgrade to a more family-friendly CRV. When I bought the car it had about 80,000 miles on the odometer, reading is currently 165,196. Below I try to represent the car as honestly and accurately as possible and I have not attempted to fluff up the car to make it look prettier than it is but please feel free to ask any questions. These Si models are desirable above the basic Civic especially for people that want to do cosmetic and performance modifications. Kelley Blue Book lists this car in FAIR condition at $4000 to a private seller and $3000 on dealer trade in, so my buy-it-now price is $600 below retail. Offered at NO RESERVE so final bid gets it. I have maintained this car throughout its life, you can see from the photos it has all its original manuals and I have kept every receipt from oil changes and other maintenance (pictured and all comes with the car). Has a clean and clear Connecticut title which I will sign over to the buyer. It also has 2 programmed keys (not pictured) and heavy duty Honda Civic rubber floor mats (not pictured). Major items attended to in my ownership: clutch replacement in 2014 at 113,000 miles. Rear suspension rebuilt with replacement control arms (recall item). Replacement of cruise control switch (a known issue), replacement of passenger airbag inflator (recall item). Drivetrain - Has been excellent except for regular maintenance, the V-Tech works great but I never raced or used it that much. Car starts/runs/shifts/brakes/drives with no issues, shifting is tight, acceleration is awesome, clutch and transmission work flawlessly etc. I put almost 80,000 miles on this car in five years and drove it on a lot of long distance trips so I maintained it accordingly. As such the issues I disclose are mainly cosmetic. I have lots more photos but here is how I would describe what you see in the photos I could post: Exterior - Paint is in okay shape, would benefit from a good detail. Right front fender scraped (pictured), right fog light has a stone hole in it (not pictured) and needs to be replaced. Both rockers have some rash on them (and VTECH badge peeling on right side) but left rocker showing bubbling into door jamb (pictured). Headlight lenses foggy. Bubbles on leading edge of hood in 3 different places. Glass - Overall good shape. Windshield has light scratches as you'd expect from the wipers but no chips or cracks. Wheels & Tires - I would say the wheels have a moderate amount of curb rash. I have never tried to have them professionally touched up. Tires tread is pretty worn, NOT bald by any means but probably good for the summer but should be replaced before winter. Interior - Overall very good condition. No damage or undue wear and the cloth bucket seats have held up exceptionally well. Chromed plastic Honda emblem in the steering wheel is worn. The plastic insert in the driver's side door panel has a small crack (pictured) where you'd grab it to close the door. Radio has just started malfunctioning - seems to be related to the high heat as it's only started recently, sometimes it'll bounce between stations or AM/FM on HOT days. Has the aforementioned heavy duty Honda Civic floor mats for winter slush. The only thing admittedly not stock on the car is the shifter boot, I replaced the old original bonded leather boot with a custom made authentic stitched leather piece, and I think I read somewhere that adds 5HP :) Engine Bay - what you see is what you get! Battery probably needs to be replaced. A/C has always worked fine and blown cold until a week ago it stopped working altogether. I checked the compressor with the a/c switched on and I see the a/c clutch is not engaging. I checked the fuses and they appear intact, so I don't know if this is something relatively simple I have read about online like a relay not functioning or if the whole a/c compressor needs to be replaced. As I said this is an issue where it worked fine until it didn't but I will let you bidders interpret. Trunk - Clean, unmodified, has spare, jack and tire change tools underneath. Thanks for looking and happy bidding on my Honda. Has been a fun car for me and has many days ahead with a little cleanup or since it's completely stock could be outfitted with a bunch of aftermarket stuff to give it a completely different life!
