Boasting a 160mph maximum on the speedometer, the 4.5-liter engine gave this vehicle outstanding performance for its time -- and today. The metallic brown exterior with dark brown interior is a very rare color combination. With top down, the sleek dark brown color is unencumbered front to back. Accident free and rust free body with visually attractive interior. The classic hardtop is in excellent condition and soft convertible top is in very good condition. Minor defects on wood trim, MB Tex looks incredible. AC blows cold. Heated air blows warm, not hot. Cruise control operates. The recently painted exterior has very few flaws. No significant door dings or scratches to betray the impression that this is a newer car. Very little to criticize or find fault cosmetically with this exception: slightly noticeable color irregularity on portion of top right fender. Replacements have been made throughout the car including but not limited to: dash capped; wood trim replaced; carpet and headliner replaced; soft convertible top replaced; climate control servo replaced with the UT-ACCII Upgrade Kit mounted under the dash away from elements; replaced plugs and wires; replaced exhaust system; newer tires and battery. This car feels as solid as any current Mercedes. Car can be driven daily. Recent 1400-mile road trip averaged 22+mpg. Smooth acceleration; braking is exact; no rattles or annoying noises. Vehicle comes with Noah car cover. Price is aggressive---well below the NADA guidelines for comparable vehicles. It’s highly improbable to find another 450SL this clean at this price.
