Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my beloved Lincoln. A major injury forces sale, I never had planned on selling this car......Ever. It was restored and painted in 2004, and the engine was rebuilt in 2006 with NOS parts that probably cannot be sourced today, Including .030 over bore, new pistons, new camshaft, new oil pump, new timing set, polished crankshaft, resized con rods, all new bearings, new lifters, and rebuilt heads with hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel. I'd estimate the engine has 5-6k on the rebuild, and has always ran mobil one synthetic oil. The transmission was resealed last year, and the drive line was rebuilt, with a new cardon joint and balanced. The engine is running a Edelbrock 1406 with the stock coolant heated choke adapted to it. It's running a pertronix ignition, and a pertronix flame thrower coil. It has a electric fuel pump, running constantly with the ignition on, this helps greatly with vapor lock. The power steering gear has been mounted with machined stainless mounts to combat the loose feeling that the rubber mounted box gives. The brake master cylinder has been upgraded to a 1968 version with dual reservoir for safety. It has been lowered 3 inches, and realigned. This car is ready to drive, its no trailer queen. The clock works, the vacuum door locks work, auto e-brake release, hydraulic wipers, all the electric windows, the antenna goes up and down. The A/C does not work, the blower motor switch shorted out a few years back, and I never got around to replacing it. The electric 6 way seat is also inop, the motor runs but it doesn't move the seat. The stock AM radio does power on, but doesn't make any sound. It has an AM/FM cd player in the center console for music. The custom made console has factory emblems, and peak moulding trim making it look like it belongs. The front seat could be reupholstered, it is original, and is cracked. I never had it done, because the rear seat is near mint, and I figured I'd never be happy with the upholstery work, so I left it. Its not perfect, but it is an amazing car. It turns heads everywhere it goes. The biggest thing this car has going for it is that it is no rust bucket, it never was. It has oil leaks, the drivers window struggles going up, but it's 52 years old, and anyone selling a classic car saying it doesn't have its qwerks is lying. It got bid up to 18,500 by a non paying bidder. https://youtu.be/i7ejQppLvhcOn Jul-12-17 at 08:22:10 PDT, seller added the following information: The vin number somehow populated wrong, 5Y82N427940 is the actual number.
