This 2001 PT Cruiser is a great Car because it feels like a car but has room like a wagon. At this time it requires that if you are parked the removal of the positive cable on the battery or it drains the battery while parked. Just had the battery checked and it is in great condition. This means it will take some extra work to get it Smogged in California. I was able to do this 2 years ago but do not have the time this year to work on it. I have replaced the multifunction switch for the flood lights to tend to the battery drain but this has not stopped the drain. I have yet to change the ignition which could be the culprit of the battery drain. I am ready to let my PT Cruiser go. Does have some rust at the top driver side above the windshield and a dent under the passenger side brake light. I have taken good care of the car but it is time to say good bye. This is a great opportunity for you the mechanically inclined or someone willing to take care of it.
