If you are exporting make sure that you know your laws and regulations Hudson Hornet: This particular Brougham convertible has the 7X Engine. It is NOT your traditional twin-H. This engine is producing over 210 hp using a high compression head, special camshaft, and other "severe usage" parts designed for racing. The traditional Twin H was only 170 hp and is not reinforced. This Hudson has upgrades: Rear glass window, Am/FM original radio (was modified to work), Hidden speakers, DISC brakes (front), Power steering, Air conditioning. The miles are 4,410 Aproximately and they are since complete restoration; the odometer was reset, engine and transmission fully rebuilt, hydraulic windows and top systems rebuilt, frame off restoration, new top and interior, upgrades installed. A 10/10 garage queen/trailer queen car sells for 150K: see pictures, a traditional clean model sells for 85K, and an ok fair condition car for about 60K. One that needs restoration but is drivable about 30K. This car is appraised for over 100K, I lowered my price to sell. Its 8/10 condition. DESCRIPTION: At this time, I'd like to point out a few important details about this vehicle. This particular Hudson was the SECOND TO LAST off of the assembly line I've been told by the previous owner, It has the rare REAL 7X motor with the special head, internals, cams, pistons, etc. It was professionally restored (completely) in the 1998-1999, The paint is the original color but darker. Its now a dark NAVY BLUE, The top was also replaced with one that is slightly darker than the original and with glass (custom made). This car also has some upgraded options as mentioned: IT HAS A/C Air conditioning, it has power steering, the front brakes have been upgraded with DISCS for safety and it has a great stereo/sound system. This particular car was part of a private Hudson collection, and has always been garaged, I purchased off the previous owner who had it 35+ plus years. This car was originally acquired in the south (Alabama), it has only been in NY state for a short period of time. There is absolutely NO RUST NO BODY ISSUES ANYWHERE with the exception of one scratch along side of the bottom of the drivers door (see Pictures): The estimate of scratch repair I was quoted is 733.65 dollars at a prestigious body shop. The car runs great, all Gauges work, There was an oil pressure gauge added and another coolant temperature as well as battery amperage gauge added. The windows ALL WORK they are NOT electric they are hydraulic powered as well as the power top which all work excellent. The Glass is all perfect, NO scratches or issues, interior panels and seats, Upholstery, interior panels sound system are excellent. I have the rear tonneau cover, I have owners manuals and service books. The tires are true white walls, the chrome is PERFECT, the moldings (there is a Ding or two but otherwise perfect). The body is STRAIGHT, No BODY FILLER, NO RUST, NO DINGS, NO SURPRISES. The frame and floor pans ARE SOLID no issues what so ever. The engine has been rebuilt along with the transmission. Despite rebuild, car is old, does leak a little when not in use as expected with any vintage motor. This Hudson can sit for months and always starts right up. It is Truly a pleasure to have and a great investment due to its rarity and especially the 7x option which I have yet to see on a convertible. The column shift has and reads N, 4-DR-3 Lo and R. This is NOT your typical Hudson and for those of you who know your Hudsons, you will see the rarity of the car.
