Vehicle Detail
You are viewing a 1976 Buick Regal in excellent condition. It is nearly flawless and has traveled only 22,508 miles over its lifetime. This very special Buick is finished in Mt. Vernon Cream with a Buckskin vinyl landau top and matching cloth interior. It is powered by a 350 cubic inch V8 motor mated to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. It features power steering and brakes, an AM/FM radio that works great, ice-cold A/C, and a bevy of other factory options and accessories. The paperwork with this Regal is equally exceptional and includes a laminated copy of the window sticker, the Wholesale Car Order, VIN# research results from the Sloan Museum, along with magazine features, judging results and much more. I've been into classic cars for almost 30 years now. I still own the 1969 Dodge Charger I purchased when I was sixteen, and the 1983 Trans Am I drove during grad school at the main campus of Penn State and then on to the University of Central Florida to earn a degree in literature still sits in my garage to this day. I spent a year at Oxford in the UK studying Shakespeare and Milton and even then I hunted old cars and got a thrill on the rare occasion that a big American cruiser would appear amidst the sea of tiny British econoboxes. Decades on I can still remember with remarkable vividness the sight of a 1976 Camaro fitted with oversized Kragars, sporting the bad paint and exaggerated rake of a high school bully's dream machine, parked in front of one of those venerated university buildings like an uninvited guest in a greasy t-shirt causing a stink and getting sideways glances at some formal affair. It brings a smile to my face even today. If the allure of a classic car is in your blood as it is in mine, you have these same indelible images swimming in your memory too, that keep us young and make life so much more fun. And its a car like this Buick that continues to make this the most enjoyable hobby I can imagine. I've included a link to many more photos showing the incredible condition. Please enjoy all these photos. I also recorded a few videos that should help give you an even closer look into just how special this Regal really is. But certainly, if you have additional questions, don't hesitate to send me your questions and I will do my best to answer them for you. I'd like to see her go to a good, appreciative home, so I'm open to offers and I'll take a trade if its something that appeals to me. Let me know what you have in mind. Thanks!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAogK87ibVo And feel free to drop me a line even if you're not interested in buying this beautiful Regal. I love talking cars, and I'm interested in almost all of them (right now my oldest is a '55 Chrysler and my newest is a '92 Roadmaster Estate Wagon) . I have favorites and least favorites, but they all come from a place of creativity and ingenuity and they are beacons of freedom in a world more and more obsessed with little digital screens, ridiculous abbreviations and just a general lack of adventurousness. Even I spend way too much time on my hind end these days. So if you have an epic roadtrip planned in your favorite old cruiser or vintage bike, send me a photo or something. If you're heading through the Mohawk Valley in upstate NY, I can probably offer a good cup of hot coffee. And, heck, I might fall in line in one of my babies for some impromptu road time. Nothing better. Thanks again for taking a look and reading this far. To friends.
