1982 Honda CR480! What else needs to be said! This bike was only made for two years and most of them ended up broken after years of racing! It is a monster! The bike starts on the second or third kick easily. All cables move freely and easily. New handlebars, fork seals and fluid, piston and rings .20mm oversize with less than 1.5 hours of ride time, stock seat and tank, new plastic side covers and number plates,barely used front and rear tires and recent tune up. The winner of the auction also will recieve the aftermarket gas tank, seat, rear rim assembly and a virtually new rear tire! A very cool, fast, retro dirt bike that will make the rider scared and excited all at the same time! Below is a wikipedia paragraph: Danny "Magoo" Chandler rode a CR480 when he won the 1982 ABC Sports Superbikers race, where professional motorcycle racers from various racing disciplines competed on a combination dirt and paved track.[3] and competed in the 1983 race.[4] Racer Steve Wise also won a Superbikers race with a CR480.[5] This race was a precursor to modern Supermoto racing.The 1982 CR480 had about 52 horsepower and was quite light for its horsepower, at about 226 pounds. Magnesium parts were used for weight saving and the bike had a hand-riveted air-box/air filter housing.[1]The bike is popular with historic racers that participate in American Historical Motorcycle Racing Association events where competitive classes are run for the various vintage racing classic motorcycles.
