For sale is a 1996 Mazda Miata. It has a 1.8L engine and an automatic transmission. The car is very much a project car with a number of issues, which are documented below. Mechanical issues: The car burns oil when started after it has been sitting for ~1 day.One of the engine's cylinders has low compression. Seems to be a rings issue. The check engine light is on. The OBDII code is P0443.The speedometer and odometer do not work. I have a replacement cable, it just needs to be installed.The windshield wiper motor is missing-- the wipers do not currently function. Cosmetic issues: There is a dent on the front passenger side of the vehicle.The driver's seat is torn. The rear plastic window needs to be replaced. (The top is in otherwise good condition.)Some of the paint on the rear of the vehicle is peeling. Pros: The car is very easy to work on, and there is an ocean of informationavailable online. According to CARFAX, the car has never been in an accident. Clean title.Car gets a lot of looks/compliments.Aftermarket radio with AUX input.Drives fine. Most fun you can have for under 2k.
