Vehicle Detail

1993 Cutlass Supreme Convertible 149,000 miles. I have had this car for about 15 years. It was originally a Florida car and has no known accidents according to CARFAX. Since I have owned it it has been garage kept and never driven in the winter. I have done about 85% of the work needed to restore this car. The car looks good as it is but it is a 24 year old car. It runs well and is fun to drive. The restoration shop has appraised it at about $8,000 as it sits with the work that has been done to it. What has been done to it? The engine was professionally rebuilt in 2010 and has about 12,000 miles on it. The trans was rebuilt and has about 26,000 miles on it. The tires have about 8,000 miles on them. Other improvements: The a.c. was converted to run off 137 freon. New speakers were installed in the dash. The driver’s seat has had a new seat cushion installed. The car also comes with 5 tubs of NOS and used parts for the interior, the engine compartment, and the body. In addition there is a NOS hood pad still in the box, an additional set of door of panels and 2 extra passenger seats included with the car. It also has the original floor mats that have never been used, the convertible boot and its original storage bag. Why is it for sale? I have 3 first generation Firebirds that I want to focus on and am unable to take this car all the way to restoration (picture of Firebirds is for illustration purposes only). What is wrong with the car? The mirror switch will move either outside mirror left, up, or down but you have to move it to the right manually. The a.c. puts out ice cold air but you have to add a can every year. I usually don’t use the air because the top is down. ABS light comes on and off. What needs to be done to restore the car? A nice coat of paint, a new top (both the paint and the top are original) and the sun visors need to be recovered. I have included a nice used set that I salvaged from another car. New leather on the steering wheel would be a nice finishing touch as well. I hope someone will finish this work in progress. If you have any questions please let me know.
