Vehicle Detail
car can use a tune up and have its fluids changed and brakes properly bled. Up for auction is my 1981 Corvette, runs strong with no problems. Body is clean and bright with a few minor nicks and scratches - nothing noticable at ten feet.....interior is aged but solid - seats are free from any tears.....A few minor issues that would be associated with any 35+ year old car are as follows - AC is operational for the most part....I have the ducts and several other parts outside of car..... Speedometer and RPM gauge are not accurate - speedometer is about 10mph short (at 55mph) and RPM gauge runs high.....there is a filter that needs attention to fix problem.....Never got around to looking into it.... Didn't cause problems..... Car is also missing the driver side t-top glass...I have the frame....Just no glass....I had classic insurance on it and was only driven on cruise worthy days...Never left it parked out of sight and always garaged when not in use.... Vette is clean as runs well, interior is aged - but clean and complete...new magnaflow exhaust from corvette central....New BF Goodrich tires, ignition system is new, new edelbrock intake... rebuilt carb and B&M tranny kit installed... Power options all work as they should....Seats, widows... Pop-up head lights have a 2 second delay.....Not sure if this is normal.....Just don't expect an instant pop.... After market radio has CD and satellite radio....Power locks don't work....Not sure why.... Never needed to lock the door.... From what I know.... Engine is a mid to late 70s ....So for obvious reasons....It is NOT a matching numbers car. Included with sale are the 3 point center caps for the rims.....They weren't re-installed when the tires were replaced..... Also have a face mask and a few other parts I gathered.... A GM shop book and a folder loaded with receipts from parts and service records is included. car was "taken off the road" in October past.... winning bid will need to arrange tow car is priced to sell....if not here - my plans are to put it back on the road and show it off at local shows.. please ask any and all questions.
